You know I was reading Betty vs Veronica illustrated by the legendary Adam Hughs (I have complex feelings about how he draws facial expressions...) and I liked how whatever the two leads were wearing Betty had sort of a blue motif going on, and Veronica a red.
I had initially planned to do the same with Jessica. Always having her outfit accentuated by red elements. But I also really wanted this to be a late afternoon scene, with very warm colours. And in an effort to draw one's eye to Jessica, I resorted to giving her cooler hues.
Oh well.
On another note, does anyone remember Charlotte Witter? And early 2000's character who featured in Spider-Man titles and in Spider-Woman (Mattie Franklin)'s run. She was... also "Spider-Woman", but an evil one, created by Doc Ock. She had a run with all three of he good Spider-Women there has been up to that point.
I had assumed her story has irreversibly tied up after her short stint, hence why we never hear from her. But it turns out she did appear a couple of years ago in 2019's Marvel Presents, #8. Veeeery briefly. To no great effect. Also they called her Charlotte "Winter", so... even they were struggling to remember her.
Still,it's nice to know she is in fact still kicking around. It lends a little more plausibility to oh- I dunno - Bringing her back to web up dear Jessica in a future storyline? Just off the top of my head.

I’m really looking forward to peril part of the story, massive fan of the original comic and Telikor’s artwork is brilliant so should do any follow on story justice

Beautiful panel. I am sure you're sick of hearing this, but your incredibly talented my friend. If I just happened by this page out of context, I would assume it was a page done by a professional artist for one of the big two. Now, on to the main point, Jessica looks so hot! I can't wait for the hangman to get a hold of her.

The artwork on this latest page is fantastic, love the style and the colouring. Can’t wait to see the peril that’s being lined up

For being a superhero fan, I actually haven't read the comics in a while (with one or two exceptions). So I do love getting some comic trivia actually. Also, really loving the purple on the shirt and scarf.

Oh my god, she’s so gorgeous 🤩

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but your exposition regarding Charlotte Witter seems to portend only good things (for us). Also, I love how your wordless pages can set a scene and tell a story equally as well as your captioned work. I love the glamour shot and the close up! And what did she sense that made her turn like that? Will we ever find out? I guess we have to tune in next week...needless to say, the suspense is pretty unbearable at this point. In the best way possible.

It's like Christmas everytime I get a notification about a new page. Never heard of Charlotte Witter till now, but I'd be very excited to see her in a future story.

I feel like Marvel treats its Spider-characters like a child does with action figures. Getting bored quickly and requesting their parents buy them a new one. Miles and Gwen seem to have maintained enough interest that they'll stick around, but I predict Silk's days are numbered unless they put her in a movie and she becomes a fan-favourite.

You're right, it is a bit too pristine...

The cool colors were the right choice here. The red would've blended in too much with the afternoon sun. We all know who she is, no need for a visual cue either. I'm sure we'll see that iconic look soon enough. I remember Charlotte. Needed development. Mattie needed a lot of work. Gwen and Silk make better young woman Spiders than Mattie ever did.

Looks lovely!

Looks great! I especially like how vibrantly green Jessica's eyes are here. The colours really stand out well. I always like the sort of colour coordination for a character you mentioned, but I agree that Jessica's outift looks really good here and contrasts nicely with the sun. I'm pretty sure we're also going to get a lot of red soon, so you might as well enjoy using other colours as long as you can.

There she is, our leading lady! I like the cool colors you gave her to wear; they look very nice on her. I was kinda expecting red (sometimes heroes have assigned colors they wear, even in civilian outfits), but it's nice to have my expectations subverted in *minor* ways, like this. That aside, I love that the city background isn't totally lifeless and colorless. Sure, it's unnaturally clean and uncluttered for a New York City street, but I at least like what I see. And no, I don't know who Charlotte Winter is... but I'd like to. Spider-on-spider action could prove interesting.

The visuals look stunning so there's that. We'll see what comes next cuz I don't know what to expect now. As for the matter of the fourth spider-woman, yeah i remember her. Costume should need some redesign but she wasn't bad visually, with the white hair and the fur spider legs, but character-wise was bland. Potential for villainess action still. And still better than the third spider-woman kid, who was unsufferable character-wise and all her designs were so underwhelming that they couldn't keep the same costume for more than a few issues

Wonderverse

Not going with red color seems to be the better choice in my opinion. She's not a Power Ranger who always wear their signature color. Heheh.

A fan
