Ahogato Species [wip]

Ok!

So Ahogato's got its various species on lock in terms of visual design concepts.

The details of which have changed from the descriptors in the Bible doc I wrote a while back.

So I'll have to rewrite a few things to compensate but dude. I'm happy with the sketches so far.

Pretty basic posing-wise but these are meant to be the ven diagram for the species as a whole.

each taking home in the various regions and functioning as different spec classes we'll say.

From right to left being Magic/ Speed/ Power/ and Defense respectively.

here's some general info for each.

[Susuna - Soo-Soo-Nah]

More aquatic/amphibious than their cousins.

The Susuna breed is found closest to the edge of the island near open waters.

Being attuned to the sea and the moon, the clan's mastery over the Flow is almost primordial. Ancient magic used to heal the sick was refined to shape the lands with high-pressured water blast and flashing sparks of electricity.

The avatars of the deep some call them, shamans from the clan in olden times would travel from region to region to spread their teachings and gift the world with the life-giving power that water possesses.

Strengthening the bounds of the sea with other tribes in the region. Unfortunately, when the seas reckoning was upon the isles, they were the first to dwindle in numbers.

[Colante - Kowl-An-Tee]

The arboreal breed, Swift and elusive.

A resourceful bunch of tree-dwelling folk, found in dense forest areas relying on the woods for food and protection from the havoc below.

The forest and Colante have grown a symbiotic bond to the point it's altered their physiology, Being able to grow a moss-like membrane along their arms and waist to glide from branch to branch, as well as pigmentation control in their fur that can change on command concealing them from sight.

These made them perfect caretakers for woods, as their attunement with Flow functions well to repair damaged living would and propagate plant growth.

However, when push comes to shove these traits can make a dangerous pack of unseen hunters.

[Maguda - Maw-Goo-Daw]

By far the most ferocious, and indomitable tribe of Ahogato to exist.

Born as a result of an icy landscape and strong competition for resources.

The Maguda evolved to compete with the Lost Mojata tribe. The species developed thick fur, dense muscle, and brawnier builds to hunt their prey in these conditions as well as defend their homes from invaders.

This change has left them lacking in flow, only using it to fortify the snow around them or utilize prosthetic technology they've developed.

With the region being so harsh, losing a limb to frostbite or battle is a common occurrence.
Replacing an arm or leg with a crustacean Mired parts was a resourceful idea that gifted them with the means to return to the hunt restored, with a new weapon in tow.

[Vyndugo - Ven-Doo-Goh]

Lustorous, toxic tanks of the Ahogato species.

Living in mostly arid environments the Vyndugo moving deeper into barren wastelands only made them into a stronger society. Being able to make do with very little isn't anything new for the breed to handle.

Caring gallons of water in their sponge-like fat reserves, keeping them hydrated while shaping the rockfaces into caverns.

Their brightly colored fur, pump frame, and sweet scent would spell doom for any other creature. However, their bodies developed a thin acid film when threatened.

Leaving burn-like lesions on the skin and an intense stinging pain that amplifies in open wounds. Mired will still attack the clan on sight; with the air being so dry, making their way into the desert cities isn't paramount to their survival.

Very good! Cool and cute designs❤️ It sure is great that they don't live on a death planet where every day is a coin toss for survival! 🥲

Not But Not
