-Ishgar-

Erza's mind was flooded with questions as she stumbled upon a woman who could have been her older twin. The woman, injured and struggling for breath, managed to whisper some words before unleashing a powerful spell that enveloped the entire crater.

‘So much ethernano…’ Although she was not naturally attuned to the magic used by the mages of Ishgar, unless she focused her attention on it - in this moment, it felt like being submerged in a thick layer of water. The pressure surrounding them was familiar, something she only experienced in the presence of the black dragon. ‘Who the hell is she!?’

She knew them, going so far as to say they even recognized her out of everyone given the woman's eyes lingered upon her for a brief moment.

Yet her question was never answered the moment a second presence descended upon the field and broke through the spells instantly. “B-Broly?”

He stood there, his hair turned into a beautiful shade of deep golden… that was emcompassed by the green aura surronding him in waves. The brief demonstration of power by this mysterious woman was like standing before a mountain, but now it felt more like standing before an overwhelming tsunami that seemed to touch the sky and block out the sun.

“Like the new look, though your eyes sure are creepy.” While his sudden appearance left her and the others in stunned silence, Gray managed to crack a joke, though he was visibly sweating from nerves. “We were worried about you, Natsu couldn't stop bitching loudly about fighting you again and the other guilds kept labeling you as a traitor that was working for the Oracion Seis in secret. Crazy right?”

The wind around them howled, growing in intensity even though the clear sky, the pressure forced the redhead to gulp. Her eyes trailed behind Broly, finding the woman's body lying there, uncertain whether she managed to survive that impact or not. Something like that could have easily split anyone's skull, even someone like Natsu with his hard head. But she couldn't get a good look at her due to the smoke and Broly's body drawing closer… having not once responded to Gray's previous words.

Natsu's usually lively demeanor suddenly fell silent, his eyes growing wider and seemingly frozen in place. Like everyone else, he couldn't believe that the person standing before them was the same one they knew before; their body seemed to have grown in size.

“Oi, Erza, something doesn't seem right with the big guy over here.”

“You think?” She replied sarcastically, getting a strange side glance from Gray, which made her wince. That response came out of nowhere, she had to keep her mind calm and collected!

“What should we do?”

“... Bring everyone away from this place.” Away, as far away as possible where she wouldn't need to worry about them anymore. As expected her suggestion wasn't taken well by everyone, especially Natsu who regained his composure. “I don't know what is going on with Broly, but he is clearly not in his right mind right now, so we better stay cautious.”

The past came rushing back to her, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was different this time. Her heart raced in a way it never did when facing the dragon when she realized her attacks were barely making a dent in its dark scales. Something about those eerily clear white eyes, void of any emotion that one would expect from a Saiyan, made her feel vulnerable. It reminded her of the day they finally escaped the Tower of Heaven.

“Are you crazy!? We should be getting away from this place if the same thing is going to happen like last time and give him some room to vent! At least then he'll calm down enough to return to normal!”

“No!”

Running away once more… that thought disgusted her more than anything else. There existed many possibilities for their next course of action. In every scenario, her staying behind was the ideal option regardless of any kind of factor coming into play here. “That was not a suggestion,” her body shined, gone was the Heart Kruz casual breastplate and skirt, now replaced with the Heaven's Wheel armor shining in its full splendor.

The appearance of the armor caused no reaction from Broly who didn't bat an eye at its appearance, drawing closer before coming to a halt for some reason.

“What shitty nonsense are you spouting, Erza!? This guy needs a good kick to the head like before, nothing has changed and we just need to hit him harder and make sure he learns his lesson about leaving us behind!” The now fully awake Dragon Slayer shouted, giving Erza and the others no time to answer, and lunged at Broly with his fists surrounded with pure crimson flames. “Don't think you look any scarier with green hair! You still owe us an apology! Fire Dragon's Iron Fist”

“No, Natsu!”

Unfortunately, Erza was too late to stop the fool for he was already upon the Saiyan and struck at his stomach, the impact which was previously either blocked or dodged now struck its target. Had it been any other day, certainly an achievement that would have put a smirk on Natsu's face, yet now witnessed the aftermath of his attack.

“I knew it,” she whispered, the attack landed perfectly but didn't even leave the slightest bruise or even burn, even as the flames continued to rage on around the fist — it instantly fizzled away from the green Ki with the attack being judged by those white eyes with a hint of rage. Carefully observing the altercation, she instantly realized what was going on and leaped forward as well.

Her silver wings, made from an amalgamation of hovering blades all shown with a clear intent that did not mirror their wielder's demeanor.

“Don't think I am done yet! Fire Dragon’s—!” It happened far faster than anything she'd seen in the past come up for any duels or spars between them, though they may have been short amongst the shortest in the guild proved to be far more impressive than what occurred before her. Within less than a second Broly's arms blurred and in the next instant, Erza could no longer find Natsu in his spot, hearing a loud crash in the distance with a cloud of dust rising, a smaller crater within the one they currently were, Natsu had half of his body buried inside.

“Gray, take Lucy and the others away NOW!”

This time she ordered with an edge to her voice. With swords in both hands, she leaped forward and brought the blades down, making sure to have all of his attention on her. “Keep your eyes on me and wake up, Broly!”

Whatever magic that woman used on him had to be destroyed as soon as possible. She figured it must have been some kind of mind control, ‘If that is the case then I can pull him out of it somehow. Maybe I can follow Natsu's example and use force! Hopefully, that should work.’

The first slash hit nothing but air the moment he titled his body sideways, her eyes bulged out the moment he pushed forward with his shoulders impacting her armor like a battering ram. Her world turned dark for a split second before she regained consciousness and found herself having a similar fate to Natsu by nearly crashing into a large boulder. At the last second light flashed from her armor, pushing away from the ground in an instant and now flying a few dozen meters in the sky.

“Close range is out of the question,” she winced at the lingering, throbbing pain, wondering if that attack caused a few fractures or not in her ribs. “—!”

The air shifted, a concentration of Ki gathering around his palm emanating a high-pitched sound. With a casual wave, he threw it toward her with dozens of tiny pebble-sized Ki orbs flying straight towards her. “Damn it!” Her eyes widened, a terrible sense of danger taking over the red-headed woman which forced her to push Heaven's Wheel to its limit.

‘I can't let those hit me!’ Flying away, the wind rushed across her face, moving from one side to another, making sure to not let any one of those attacks touch her. “Pentagram sword!” Left in desperation of being unable to be fast enough to dodge all of them, more swords appeared around her, all of which were summoned from her Requip magic.

All of which were fired against the crimson volley with equal fervor, forcing most to detonate halfway across. Many of her prized collections being turned to dust left an ache in her heart, but this was not the time to care about that. “After this, you better buy me multiple sets, Broly!” While those that were closer were slashed with the blades in her hand, leaving behind the afterimage of a pentagram.

The wings bent to form a rough cocoon around her body to shield her from the explosion, the heat seeping through the cracks and wreaking havoc all over her body, but she held strong. Yet the same couldn't be said for her armor with some of the silver metallic feathers shattering under the pressure. In the end, leaving them mangled and beyond repair, thankfully it hadn't compromised the flight enchantment.

“Hah… Hah… Hah… “ her huffs sounded audible, making Erza realize that a single attack almost managed to push her to the edge had she been even the slightest bit slower to react in time. Her eyes closed in on Broly, the Saiyan raising an eyebrow and almost looking… impressed. She would have been happy to see that face had it not been for both of his hands glowing the same shine as before. The piercing noise increased the dread within her heart at the sight. “Again!?”

Though before he could launch the attack, his surroundings lit up with an orange hue. Momentarily overpowering the emerald-golden light from his own Ki. This attracted both his and Erza's attention overhead when they found a large fireball of pure fire hurtling toward the former. Seeing the oncoming fireball, Broly ignored Erza, the Ki charge in his hands dissipating and calmly dropping both arms and letting the attack hit him point blank.

“Don't count me out yet, idiot! Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame”

The area exploded, getting encompassed in a giant dome of raging fire, reaching the surrounding forest and burning the tree to ashes while Erza watched with frustration. “I told Gray to take everyone away, why are you still here!?”

“Shut up, you're not the Master!” The young Dragon Slayer shouted back, continuing his assault and forcing his chest to expand by inhaling a lung full of air. “Fire Dragon's Roa—humph!”

His words were abruptly cut off as a massive hand emerged from the flames and forced his mouth shut. The fire dispersed, revealing Broly with a layer of his Ki protecting him from its effects. "It didn't work before...and it won't work on me again!" He sneered, his expression transforming from shock to confusion before settling into a fury. His eyes remained unimpressed as Natsu's flaming fist relentlessly pummeled him with punches and kicks, all aimed at his head but barely leaving a scratch.

A growl escaped his mouth, instantly crushing Natsu back inside the hole the Dragon Slayer had previously hurled into before dragging the boy across. Running half across the crater's rims, pulling his arm at the end still holding a badly bruised Natsu still somehow able to clutch to his consciousness despite the wound on his head allowing blood to flow down the boy's face.

He let go of him, the latter dropping to the ground like a puppet with it’s string cut. But the pain did not end there, a large boot harshly stomped on his chest with a loud bang and shattering the ground under him.

“AAAAAAARRGH!”

“Natsu!”

Panicking at the site of her guildmate getting basically buried in the ground, Erza had to act fast. Just as she was about to fly in an attempt to get his attention back, She caught something in the corner of her eyes. A being of ice shoots its way from within the forest followed by multiple pillars of stone and magical spells. All of which bombarded the saying with relentless force, the shock wave able to barely push Natsu away, caught by Happy, who landed near a blue-haired girl.

“Heal!”

Wendy wasted no time casting a healing spell on Natsu. His bleeding stopped in an instant, and parts of his open wounds slowly closed at a visible rate. Erza released a sigh of relief at her presence, feeling a weight lifted from her chest.

“Seems like we got here in time!” From the foliage emerged a number of people, all of whom Erza recognized as those from the other guilds on the Christina. On the front, Jura led without a trace of his prior injuries or any wounds from the crash. “Sorry to have kept you waiting, Erza-dono. We encountered this young lady who healed many of our wounded.”

“She's an amazing mage for someone her age! A true gem!” The Tri-men didn't waste any time to shower her with countless praise. Wendy blushed adorably under the attention, choosing to keep her attention on Natsu while Carla glared at all of them.

“Stop wasting time, find a way to take care of him before he attacks us, you fools!”

All of their attention went to the smoke in the distance where in an instant a large shadow jumped out and headed towards them with a small frown on his face and made a beeline towards Jura.

“Time for round 2!”

“Spread out!” Unlike last time, none of them were willing to underestimate or even let themselves face the Saiyan on their own. His hands brimming with magic, before slapping the ground to create multiple layers of earth between him and the Saiyan. “What is wrong with Broly, Erza-dono!?”

“I think he's under some kind of mind control spell!”

“Then we need to have the caster remove it and keep him busy until then!”

The layers served little to stop the man, easily crushing through them like wet paper and sticking the ground where Jura previously stood, the mage having instantly moved away as soon as the walls were erected standing clear of the Saiyan. The area instantly got filled with colorful clouds of some kind of fumes, all of which aggravated him even further. White eyes glared at the person standing as tall as Jura, next to the latter holding a multitude of bottles within his hands.

“Would you look at that, looks like our friend here is not a fan of aromatic smells, me—what the!?”

“Look out!” Jura barely had time to summon another wall but it was far too late, Broly's body tore through it with far greater speed than before to the point he had a hard time keeping track of him, a large fist digging into Ichiya’s stomach, the muscular man having no defense against such a force despite his enhanced state found himself falling to his knees, coughing up blood and gasping for air. “Oof!” Only to be met by a knee straight to the face.

His other hand charged a Ki blast straight into Jura’s stomach, “URGH!” The attack tore through layers of his skin in an instant and charred the upper part of his body. Both individuals fell as soon as they appeared, crashing onto the ground with a loud thud.

“Gah!” Though Ichiya's torment didn't end the moment his body was used as a cushion to Broly who jumped down with his entire weight forcing itself onto the man’s stomach. Blood spewing from his mouth, tainting the Broly's boots.

The onlookers stared at the sight with clear shock, unsure whether or not the member of Blue Pegasus was even alive or not.

Gajeel, who'd arrived at the same time as the others, felt his heart skip a beat when he was the next target of those white eyes. He had never felt this kind of overwhelming sensation before in his life, and that thought alone angered him. His fists clenched, the layer of iron scale around his body shining against the glow from the Ki of this monster.

“Give me your worst, you bastard!”

He almost regretted his words when the next second Broly started running towards him, whether it be a boulder or tree all getting crushed without the slightest resistance. He could feel the ground beneath his shoes almost shaking with each step. “Iron Dragon's—” his arm shot forward, taking the shape of a large pillar to meet his opponent's punch.

Crack!

“Hn!” The force was beyond anything he'd experienced before, even when fighting this same guy this morning! Cracks spread all over his body, his previously reliable armor breaking so easily from a single attack certainly didn't help calm his heart. Then a sickening snap reached his ears, a searing pain filling his mind the moment he found his arms bending at an angle it shouldn't be.

“Move!”

“—!”

Following his instincts this time, the Iron Dragon Slayer barely managed to jump away before a large black jagged greatsword appeared over Broly’s head, making the latter back away at the last second and letting the sword strike the ground.

Erza's eyes now glowing a reddish tint glared back at him, “Enough of this, I'll stop you with everything I have now.”

“Hn,” his face twitched, the growl coming from his mouth sounding more feral with his teeth gritting against one another. She braced, finding the Saiyan approaching and getting ready for another barrage of Ki attacks as his hands glowed emerald.

“Hm?” Though strangely enough, it disappeared the next second with him stopping in his tracks. The aura around growing by the second, and that made her shudder more than anything else.

“What are you doing, Titania!? Cut this asshole down before he breaks you also!” Gajeel shouted, forcing her to remember her resolve and go with her attack. He tilted his head just enough to have a spherical projectile of pure ice pass through and crush a tree in the distance. Erza did not waste her small window of opportunity given by Gray and sliced her sword across his chest — only to have it miss by a hair breath when her opponent leaned back. “What!?”

It did not end there, Gajeel using his remaining working arm swung a similar-looking greatsword. But his attack cut nothing but air once more when Broly's upper body turned sideways long enough to let it pass through.

“Keep attacking!”

Unwilling to abandon hope, all three wizards continued their assault. Each of their attacks missed their target by the smallest margin, this happening again and again to the point even Erza started to feel the strain on her body but she couldn't stop.

Throughout the confrontation, Broly's arms remained motionless by his sides, but his Ki continued to surge to an alarming level. It was as if he were a ticking time bomb, standing still with his eyes squeezed shut in agony. Despite this, he somehow managed to predict and evade every one of their attacks, displaying a surprising agility for someone of his size.

Gajeel couldn't help but shout with fury.

“This freak is just toying with us!?”

Erza didn't say a word, this Broly didn't feel like the well of neverending fury like during the Tower of Heaven. The power was there, but the sensation the person exuded was completely different.

More detached and conflicted strangely enough.

“RAAARRRGH!” Unfortunately, their exchange only lasted a few seconds before a roar escaped his mouth, multiple orbs of Ki firing from all around his body and shattering all remnants of Gajeel’s iron armor and Erza's Purgatory.

Watching the one-sided massacre from a distance, Lucy knew she had to do something. They didn't even manage to beat him back at the meeting, and this form of Broly exuded far more power than even she could feel crushing her. Her limbs shook when she approached the center, both whip and golden keys held firmly in both hands.

“Free him, now!” She shouted at the woman who now stood upright, dusting off some of the debris from her clothing while observing the battle in the distance. The Erza lookalike, drinking some kind of potion without so much as paying an ounce of attention to her. But that did not deter the blonde instantly from picking one of the golden keys and activating it.

“Open, Gate of Capricorn.” Unlike before, her voice was quite loud enough for the other party to hear. Golden magic formed beside her in the shape of a humanoid being with horns, soon showing a goat man whose next move was to respectfully greet his summoner.

“Greetings Lucy-sama. How may I be of service?” He instantly noted Broly's appearance in the distance but didn't say anything else while awaiting the orders of his mistress.

“Whoever you are, if you don't free him right now then I swear I will have Capricorn beat you senseless!”

That seemed to have garnered Irene's attention, who glanced at Lucy. Making it even more weird for the latter given just how identical the woman looked to Erza. But that emotionless look devoid of any care would never appear on her redheaded friend.

“A Celestial Wizard huh… How rare is it to see one of your kind around, especially one with multiple golden keys? Impressive.” Though those words sounded like praise, the woman's tone was anything but praising her. To Lucy, it was no different than stating that the water is wet.

“Answer me!” She shouted desperately, hearing more of Natsu and Erza's pained cry in the distance as they tried to keep Broly busy.

“Free him? What makes you think I would have the capability of controlling him after he nearly killed me?”

“T-T-Then that p-pillar of light wasn't you're doing?”

Irene looked away from Lucy and focused on Broly in the distance, “I merely just brought Nirvana to its former state with a few improvements, the spell holds no ability to control a being — it never did and never will. Its former self could only temporarily turn light into dark and vice versa, a simple concept really, even you should understand it.”

“What? I-I don't… what does that mean!?”

“... Humph, should have known,” She muttered checking her wounds, still treating the situation with benignness. “Broly, that is his name, right? Mind control wouldn't have worked against him or even possession for that matter. The raw pool of power would have burned it away and endangered any personalities I would have forced in if it rampaged.”

Lucy became startled when she heard this woman try to possess him!

“Initially, there was a notable resistance towards Nirvana, even at its peak. This could be attributed to the innate power within him, which proved to be his vulnerability. Unlike physical ailments, Nirvana targeted the soul and mind, creating a disturbance in the balance he had managed to maintain. As a result, emotions ran wild and took control. However, I would have preferred to see a greater release of that inner power”

“Broly is not evil!” Lucy retorted, starting to grasp Nirvana's ability with Capricorn's help who knew of its existence. The understanding just made her face grow red with fury and she contemplated summoning Aquarius to teach this woman a lesson. “There is no evil in him! He is a pure soul with not a single evil bone in his body! How could Nirvana work in the first place if it reverses light and darkness in the first place when THERE IS NO DARKNESS IN HIM!”

Irene showed an expression of annoyance but did not take any action against Lucy. “I told you, I made it better with my own little changes, though it would be a waste for me to explain to you. Hmm, the burst did not break the mental barrier as much as I would have liked it to, maybe a second usage of Nirvana can accomplish that. It should still have some remnants left in its reserves.”

As the redhead snapped her fingers, the ground beneath their feet began to shake. Her face turned pale as she realized that the giant spider-like structure carrying a city on its back had somehow crept up on them and was now looming directly above them. A massive surge of ethernano collected in the center of the structure and directed towards Broly once again.

“Like I'd let you!” Having grown very wary of this woman, Lucy instantly realized she was a danger if left alone to use Nirvana once more on Broly. “Capricorn! Stop her!”

She ordered her Celestial Spirit, the goat man whose eyes were covered by sunglasses nodded and clenched his gloved fists.

Only for Irene to swipe her finger with a thin line of crimson magic to burst forth and take the shape of a large crescent arc that struck the Celestial Spirit right in the middle. Capricorn vanished and returned to the Celestial World right before Lucy's eyes.

“You are turning into a nuisance.” Killing intent flashed before her eyes as she pointed her finger towards Lucy.

{Break}

-???-

He felt cold, barely able to breathe in a suffocating darkness all-encompassing darkness that surrounded him. Broly did not know where he was, he could not even remember what happened to him to end up in this strange place.

“Father?” he called for Paragus, expecting this to be another one of his trials to make him grow more powerful by the day. It turned around expecting to be ambushed by one of the many deadly creatures in Vampa or even sneak attacked by Paragus himself to train his spatial awareness.

Yet as the seconds passed turned into minutes and into hours nothing happened and Broly remained floating in this ever-encompassing darkness which started to feel like it was eating away at his flesh, “Where am I?”

He couldn't remember how he ended up here in the first place, wondering if this was even his home planet to begin with. Wanting to leave this eerie place as soon as possible, Broly took a step forward and found his foot sinking into a strange dark pool. A strange sensation crawled from beneath, and in the next moment, a multitude of hands emerged and grabbed onto his leg tightly.

“—!?”

Goosebumps riddled his body when he found a shadow resembling a rotten skull emerging from beneath the pool. Grotesque and disturbing to see, empty eye sockets showing an equal amount of darkness within them.

“Kill… them… all…”

“L-Let go of me!” he hurriedly said, grabbing the rotten flesh-covered arm and throwing it away as far as he could and hastily trying to fly away but being unable to do so. Only then did he figure out that for some reason he could only travel through this place by foot, trying to reach a destination he could not see.

He acted without hesitation when he noticed the increasing amount of shadows lurking around him, trying to overtake him.

“They… are our… enemy…!”

“Traitors to our kingdom!”

“I deserve… revenge…”

“I didn't deserve this…”

Normally, he would be able to free himself from any kind of situation with pure strength alone, but this time, that proved to be a difficult task with how much effort it took to remove the next few of them.

“Stay away from me!” He shouted, quickening his paste to the point he was practically running.

“They murdered… my father…”

“Avenge me!”

“Burn them all…”

“Where… are my children!?”

He attempted to walk away, but the decaying creatures with their putrid forms refused to let go. Their cries of anguish and malice increased in volume as they swarmed towards him, emerging from every direction and clawing at his body in an attempt to pull him down into the depths with them. Each one demanded that he perform unspeakable acts, filling him with a repulsive emotion that he detested and wanted to avoid at all costs.

“It… burns… it… hurts… it hurts so much…”

“H-help… I can't die… kill the king…”

“...on… kings festival…”

“The dragons…. they ate my family… kill them!”

“Kill them… kill them all!”

"No! No, no!” He refused to listen and discarded each and every one of those words. Even when he tried to use his fists to destroy those holding him, letting his anger unconsciously take over for a bit to smash their skulls one by one, he found it was a fruitless endeavor.

“Aaarh!” Destroying one brought two more, destroying two brought ten, and the cycle continued until a mountain of these corpse-like creatures piled up behind, and even more now emerged and sought to hold onto every inch of his body. Only through pure desperation and force of will did he manage to keep them away from his face and continue to try and escape whatever this place was.

One of them clutched to his shoulders, the cold sensation of the skin-like texture causing a chill to run up his spine.

“Kill them… no matter who stands in our way…”

It whispered in his ears, some of them begging, pleading for revenge, war, and many shouting with extreme rage and bloodlust. He tried to ignore them as much as he could, calling his father's name again and again to come and save him from whatever this place was.

That was when more of his rage began to slowly replace his fear, his eyes widening and turning green when he found himself with no other option. The fire in his heart grew by the second and was close to consuming him once again.

“—!”

But he stopped, remembering the familiar sensation of losing control of his emotions once more. For a brief moment, he remembered the faces of a multitude of small children in tattered clothing, all of them looking at him with fear as the tower around them crumbled into pieces. This image was soon replaced by another scene of sorts, where he found himself standing upright, holding onto Erza's neck. The latter was riddled with severe burns, her armor turned to dust, and his other hand was glowing with emerald Ki, ready to unleash and destroy anything it touched.

Gazing at him with not an ounce of hatred but regret.

“AAAH!!”

That realization shook him to his core to the point he let out a cry of fear, this emotion once again taking hold and pushing back the anger completely until he stopped moving. “I can't do it! I can't do it!” He repeated those words like a mantra, hating the possibility of the past repeating itself and accidentally letting his power be set free to wreak havoc.

The creatures kept crawling onto him, but he ignored them now. All he could do was cover his ears to block out their voices. As more memories flooded back to him, he realized that his last moments were in a ruined city, left untouched for centuries. He had fought against people he never thought he would see again, who were now working for the enemy.

At the very end, he met someone who looked like Erza but was definitely not her. Had he lost his control once more? That train of thought made him lose all of his energy, despair, and disgust filling his heart. The shadows had now pulled him halfway submerged below the dark liquid, sinking further with each passing second.

“Why are you not breaking from this place?” An unfamiliar voice spoke, alerting the Saiyan who watched with wide eyes at a person standing before him. A young, platinum-blonde child whose blank eyes stared back at him with curiosity. Her feet were untainted by the shadow, these creatures not even noticing her existence.

“...Who…” It was hard to hear his own voice, drowned by the countless shouts, wails, and roars from all around him. Regardless, her voice remained as clear as crystal when she first spoke. “... Are you?”

“Ah, I forgot this is the first time we met? No wait, we did before, but I didn't have the opportunity to speak to you, unfortunately.” She spoke, unbothered by the surroundings and having her attention fully on him. Now that she mentioned it, she did look familiar, but he couldn't recall where they met. “You didn't answer my question, why aren't you getting rid of the darkness that corrupted the Nirvana?”

“...”

“You are afraid.”

She knew, but he didn't bother hiding it in the first place and let his silence be the answer. She extended her hands, running them through his hair, a strange sensation to say the least… he didn't hate it.

“You have a lot of rage within you, it grows by the day the more you reject it. I can't even begin to imagine how you must have gotten into such a state to begin with.”

“It's a curse,” that was the closest thing he could compare it to after reading from one of Gretel's books. That term has been bouncing around his mind since then given how closely he related his rage to that part. “If I let it out, even for the slightest bit, then everyone will die.”

He feared that ultimately, the planet would not survive. The blood of the innocent on his hands weighed heavy on him, and if that led to their demise, he doubted he could live with himself. He knew that he would lose control once again, but this time, there would be no coming back from the rageful monster he would become.

Her hands descended and caressed his face, feeling a sensation of warmth he couldn't even describe in words. “This…wrath you push away is as much a part of you as is your kindness. Locking it away will only bring nothing more suffering for you.”

“It's better that way than hurting those close to me again.”

“But you always saved them,” the girl argued with a small smile on her face. “I remembered you used to protect them against the Black Dragon. I even know that it was thanks to you that those imprisoned in the Tower were able to escape.”

“Then what can I even do…” At this point, he just felt tired, all of his training to control his emotions turned out to be nothing but a waste. The improvements he imagined barely did anything the moment when he needed them the most.

“Accept it,” she answered without missing a beat. “You can't run away from it, you tried but saw the result yourself. Pushing it away is just denying a part of what makes you… you, your very essence have been intertwined with this wrath for a very long time. It is yours and yours alone, the path ahead won't be easy but your goal is to one day use it to protect your family without fear rather than running away from it.”

To his surprise, the girl wrapped her head around his hand and brought him close for an embrace. Her raging heartbeat started to slow down, the warmth coming from this person bringing him a sense of ease like he never felt before.

He felt… safe.

He felt loved.

All of it at the same time.

Her hands continued to stroke his hair,

“Your family needs you as much as you need them. They care about you as much as you care about them, no matter how much you hurt them they will keep coming back and will support you even when facing an insurmountable obstacle. For that is what Fairy Tail is.”

He listened to her voice, having returned the embrace. These dark creatures continued to whisper near his ears but no longer did he feel the same kind of dread anymore.

“Mavis, that's my name.” She said, slowly getting up, he already missed the sensation but didn't say a word. “Next time we meet, I hope it'll be under better circumstances. Say hi to Maki for me.”

He nodded, her figure disappearing until all that remained was but himself surrounded by this thing Mavis called the darkness that corrupted the Nirvana. He guessed this wasn't even his real body but just his consciousness, it explained why his strength felt almost nonexistent here. No… he was just holding back even then.

He felt oddly calm, delving deep within where lay an almost infinite emerald pool of wrath. He felt the anger emanating from it, the power capable of destroying anything in its path if left unchecked. All of which he let flow freely for the very first time.

“Aaaah…”

Broly clenched his fists, eyes glowing green with his muscles bulging even more. The emerald light around him grew ever so stronger by the second, “Aaaaah!”

Prince Vegeta and Kakarot all showed the ability to control their anger, even when wielding a god-like power beyond his during their last fight which overpowered him. A power that never took over their sense of rationality, they smiled and spoke while he continued to rage on like a beast.

He envied them in some way.

If they could achieve such a state, then so could he.

He had to.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!”

He let it all out, the wrath stage going beyond its initial step until his hair turned golden with a hint of green. The creatures who held onto him were destroyed, unable to keep emerging quickly enough before getting instantly annihilated. The more that disappeared the clearer his mind became and the stronger the Saiyan's resolve grew.

However, he didn't stop there, for he knew there was a final barrier. The Ki within grew at an accelerated degree that almost reached a level he hadn't experienced for many years.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARH!!!!!!”

{Break}

Sweat streamed down Lucy's face, confronting the evil woman who she now truly believed and knew was behind Broly's change. One of her Celestial Spirits getting so easily killed and forced back into the Celestial World still remains in her mind, this growing into pure terror when the same concentration of magic now was pointed straight at her.

‘I'm going to die.’

There was nothing on her she could use to block it and even Horologium would instantly vanish upon contact. Thus, Lucy could do nothing but close her eyes and await her fate.

“Oh my,”

Yet she heard the woman's voice, sounding shocked and even… pleased?

“Woah!” the ground beneath her shook, an earthquake of high magnitude rocking the entirety of Ishgar itself. The mountains all around crumbled one after the other the stronger the quake grew until large fissures formed everywhere.

And then she saw it, a source of green light eclipsing everything coming from the mostly destroyed forest.

“Strange, I hadn't expected him to lose control this quickly,” Irene commented, squinting her eyes suspiciously. The latter though instantly widened the moment a shadow flew from the forest straight at her at immense speed, where in less than a blink of an eye a large shadow towered over her.

Lucy watched a fist almost three times the size of her head strike the woman in the face. Rays of Ki explode into a fiery explosion that forced Irene into the ground. This time the impact cleaving the very mountain they stood on into two. “Wah!” Lucy shrieked, nearly falling into the ravine and barely able to hold onto the edge.

But her worries didn't end there, the sound of Nirvana getting ready to fire after it gathered enough energy reached her ears. The swirling pattern of both black and white magic concentrates onto a single point. “Oh no!”

The image of the Saiyan flying right in the middle made her panic the moment she recalled Irene's words. Had he regained control? But if struck by it again… he wouldn't be able to recover! “What are you doing!? Fly the other way!”

He didn't listen, or more likely her voice didn't reach him.

The space itself around him shook, the immense amount of Ki trying to break free but only getting further condensed into a singular point, his muscles bulging and veins pulsing with raw power. His eyes glowed a fierce emerald green, and his now fully deep emerald hair flared up, radiating a brilliant aura of energy. With a guttural roar that echoed across the battlefield, he thrust his massive arms forward, his palms facing outward. A sphere of green Ki began to form, crackling with intensity and growing larger by the second.

The air around him shimmered with heat and raw energy, distorting the landscape as the attack charged near its full potency. Yet it still continued to grow in power and size, but the following second — Nirvana fired first.

“Broly!” she became mortified, unable to believe her eyes. But just as Lucy even had the time to grieve, her eyes noticed the green light from within the large pillar of black and white magic continuing to engulf him with great fervor. The barely visible image of his body floating unaffected by Nirvana with the Ki sphere in his hands growing in its full form. The green light was accompanied by an intense high-pitched sound that drowned everything…

And he fired it.

“—!”

Like a knife through butter, it tore through Nirvana like it wasn't even there. Expanding the moment it hit the main body into a beam of pure power that dwarfed most of the surrounding mountains, completely enveloping the last vestige of the Nirvana. The beam continued its path, piercing through the very sky and clouds till it reached space and beyond — once more destroying everything in its path. Able to be seen from some of the surrounding kingdoms, the potency even caught the attention of both gods and mortals.

The shockwave alone tore everything on the ground, enough to break Lucy's grasp on the ledge.

“Waaaaaaaaaaaa—oof!” Having fallen a couple of dozens of meters, the next second she found herself caught by two pairs of giant arms. The familiar sensation made her feel as if she'd returned back in time and was carried up the mountain like a princess by Broly whenever she got tired or injured.

“You…” his eyes were no longer pure white, but instead returned to normal but now had a green shine to them. Though his hair had now turned emerald for a brief moment before reverting back to black. His body had grown smaller than the one he'd shown previously — more importantly, she instantly recognized that gentle stare. “Y-You're back!”

She couldn't stop crying, and an enormous avalanche of relief flooded her heart when Broly smiled.

Flying upwards, Lucy didn't know what to say as she feared that she'd start crying aloud and make herself look bad. She didn't want to lose more beauty points compared to how Aquarius behaved before him.

Just when she thought her life was finally getting back to normal, something happened that made her doubt everything once again.

“W-What happened… to the Moon?”

The moon which appeared in its full splendor on this very day now no longer resembled what she'd seen for years. The magnificent satellite spun around Earth Land now having only part of its beauty left given the other half was completely gone — leaving the moon to be crescent shaped.

Were it possible, her jaw would be touching the floor right now. This had to be a nightmare.

“Oh, sorry… I forgot to miss it,” was all that Broly had to say before looking away. “I'll place you down and go check on Erza.” He was obviously more concerned about more important matters.

Forgot… to… miss… the moon?

Unable to handle it, the blonde just closed her eyes and let her consciousness fade away. She felt like she deserved it after this.

Her reaction was mimicked by many all across the world, though in a remote part of the continent Guiltina, the enraged roar of a certain Dragon God brought true fear onto the hearts of the inhabitants — a very few of them sweating with trepidation as the very moon which represented her domain now laid half destroyed.

Glitched Knights

So let me see if I got this straight Broly just destroyed the Fairy Tail Moon...okay this is a Dragon Ball fic with Broly in it so won ton destruction is expected, but still I wonder how the Fairy Tail characters will deal with this. Power scaling is completely out of wack I wonder if that's just how it is with Dragon Ball Crossovers.

GameCrusher55

So how much do you guys think Fairy Tail is going to be fined for the moon being destroyed?
