✧ blog: i've been a drawing FIEND ✧

Hello friends!! How are y'all doing? I'm doing okay~ I'm tired and a bit worn down, so I'm trying to take it reeeealllly slow. I tend to bury myself in work when I don't feel well emotionally or mentally, but that never serves me, so!! I'm still trying to work (cause I do love what I do), but I'm just taking it very very easy. You'd think after being self-employed for almost 5 years, I'd have a better handle on not stressing myself out so much, but alas :))

ANYWAY I have been drawing LOADS lately!! I've drawn in my sketchbook every day for the last week, and it's been such a joy. I'm working on a sponsored video (sponsored by HOYOVERSE??? aka the company that makes genshin impact) and for said sponsored bit, I gotta draw fanart of pretty anime boys sO I've been focusing a lot on dudes -- and we're making progress!! Look at this lad I whipped up!

I was even surprised myself, hence the little "oh damn!" lolol

It's also so cozy and overcast today, I'm so happy ToT it's gonna get hot again next week, so I'm relishing in this tiny little taste of fall~

I've found a great series of pictures on Pinterest recently -- it's these "cut-out" photos of people walking, standing, sitting, etc, and since they're all candid photos from out in the world, it's fantastic for practicing everyday stances.

I have a couple saved to this Pinterest board, and if you click on one, TONS more show up in the suggestions below it, so it's a lovely rabbit hole to fall down. :o)

Here's a couple other pages -- I've been enjoying scribbling away with my ink pens and then going back in with my Copics later to color some stuff in. Looking at a colorful sketchbook page always makes me happy :')

When I find myself getting all worried/caught up in my head, I find that grabbing a marker and just sketching with thicker, bolder lines really helps me loosen up! The pens I work with normally are so thin that it's easy for me to get hung up on little things. Great for details!! Not good when my ADHD rage kicks in hahah

I'd love to know what you've been getting into!! Have you been drawing? Making stuff? Playing lots of video games? Anything! I've been sinking a lot of time into Persona 5 Strikers, and it's been so wonderful to get to hang out with all my fave characters again. ;u;
