Anduo Report - July 10th, 2019

Heyo everyone! Vils here with your weekly lewds!


Status

Work has started to ramp up on Rosas are Red. We've got a writer now working on extra content for Episode 1, and Thao is now working on more CGs to fit into Episode 1 to make it more than just a remaster. bearcore has been working on a dialogue editor that will make things a lot easier for our new writer to piece together dialogues with choices and syntax for use in the game, and it's turning out really well!


Interface

Here's a brief look at one of the iterations of a mockup for what the new interface might look like! We're still in the concepting phase for the UI overhaul at the moment. The middle is the new stuff and the things on the side are its references.


New CGs

We're planning to fit in a couple more CGs to go alongside the new scenes we want to add. Here's a little peek at a sketch from Thao for one of them!



Status

We're getting very close to a release candidate for 0.13.0, there just needs to be a couple more scenes added and then things will ready to go for playtesting and then release. We've been able to fit in some more CGs from rated during the wait, so it's not all that bad of a delay. I estimate a couple more days until we're ready.


Overworld Character Overhaul

Here's a progress update on the new overworld rig! We've got it playing a cute lil idle animation now! Now we're just looking into how we'll layer on the clothing and such to have parity with how we do things now. Then we'll be looking into making a walking / running animation, and then the other facing directions, and then production will start on all the different skins that we need for clothes and characters. The artist we're working with on this little R&D project has been doing wonderfully!


New Area

Here's a peek at one of the new areas you'll be exploring in 0.13.0's main story! Looks like it needs a cleaner like the townhall has.


Florians

Here's a peek at two new enemy types you'll be fighting in Sublevel 2! They'll be the first enemies to have their own character sprites that'll be visible during combat. The left one is the Tendril Florian, and the right one is the Stuffed Florian. In the initial release only the Tendril Florian will have a character sprite ingame because the Stuffed Florian didn't make it in time. We'll patch her in when she's ready though. Super happy with the work rated has done on these two enemy types.
