Updates - Eye Surgery
Added 2019-11-05 06:57:00 +0000 UTCHey all - I felt I needed to keep you in the loop of what's up since it's affecting my work for a bit.
If you follow my Twitter, you'll know I had an eye procedure performed today to help fix a long-standing issue with my cornea, called Reccurant Corneal Erosion. This is what I had in my OTHER eye years ago, and now it's the opposite one. This condition causes blurred vision in said eye, pain, and in general, is one of the reasons I haven't been at full steam the past year.
To fix this, my opthamologist performs an opthalmic bebridement of the cornea. Or in layman's terms, scoops off the surface of my eyeball with a wire to allow better tissue to regrow. It takes a few weeks or more to heal through, but the end result is better vision all the time.
Needless to say, it hurts. A lot. Stinging and watering, despite painkillers. I figured it's only in one eye, so I could at least do minor work by using the other, but it's become so debilitating that I often have to keep it closed too, or take breaks. I know you all keep telling me 'take care of yourself first!' , which I'm grateful for, and this minor surgery is what that aims to accomplish.
I know I still have to put the October ZIPs up and finish/post Sunday's stream pics, and I promise I will as soon as I'm able. For the moment, even typing this has been a hassle visually, but I hope to be better soon. Thank you all so much for the patience and understanding!

( because, you know... i was curious, and i figured u or other supporters might be curious about it like myself) and she said that this (recurrent corneal erosion) its from when you sleep the top layer of your eye stuck to your eyelid, and every morning when you way up it peels that layer (1 cells worth) off. to fix this they need to remove all all the layers so you body can rebuild every layer from the start .She told me that "ophthalmic debridement of the cornea" is indeed how they fix it (removal all the layers so it can rebuild properly) (which you just had done) and its something she knows how to do and its a very easy procedure, but afterwards is extremely painful and take 5-7 days to regrow all the layers, however each and every day as new layers grow it should be progressively less and less painful. So your going through the worst of it now. We fully understand if you have to miss this weeks stream. Get well soon!! <3

DON'T push yourself for us, regardless of if we're paying you or not. Your health, your wellbeing is the most important thing. Please rest up and hope you feel better!
