Ask ARA - "Creators?"

The previous question was the one Radoslav here asks ARA. What does she think of her creators? This was an interesting one to me, and only too late did I have a "duh" moment and realize, I don't have to draw their talking heads all the time. I think I missed a good chance to show something more, about the company or AI creation. Ah well, notes for next time.
The next portion I'm not sure will need a vote yet, but perhaps she could end it with a joke, or be more serious, or perhaps curious. Just wanted to get a little worldbuilding out there for now, with more to follow as this part progresses.

2018-08-04 00:39:58 +0000 UTCEnding a segment/question with a joke is fine, just bear in mind how the entire thing reads all at once. It's easy to trick yourself into thinking you need *something* to spice it up for the people waiting a month between updates, but then end up with a jarring mess to read through start to finish/current. I love DMFA, but Amber's worst habit as an author is the need to force humor onto every page. Otherwise serious conversations end up with out of place comedy every couple "paragraphs", and it destroys the flow of the comic in many areas. Obviously this isn't the same as a long-form piece of fiction, but it does still look like there will be "scenes" within it. Just try to keep in mind how it flows as a "complete" work. People are only waiting for each new page once, but after that, it exists as a finished scene or story *forever*, and THAT'S what matters for how it looks and flows for the reader.

2018-08-03 20:59:26 +0000 UTCI really really find your worldbuilding fascinating. Stuff like this makes me think about what a medical Anthroid would be like. Would you ever be open to the idea of allowing people to use your universe as a backdrop for RP/fanfics/personal characters?

Would be gold. But, I think it would mess with the flow of this particular bit. Love to see some more of that cute evil emperor

2018-08-03 20:36:38 +0000 UTCThat's a good point you made regarding dialogue. You dont always have to show them talking with the word bubbles. You can then cut to some other scene to show worldbuilding while they are talking. I'm definitely going to remember that.

2018-08-03 20:31:32 +0000 UTCI mean a good AI is a person after all, and best if allowed to make mistakes and grow provided it also has a failsafe for when it needs to be extremely presice such as manning weapons or evacuating, but I like it :o
