Gaz - Redesign/concept
Added 2017-11-03 05:33:51 +0000 UTCGaz was an old character I made for Tailheat years back, and he was just a god-awful looking generic gator. A few years back I re-tooled him a bit more into the version that I think has more 'known' status, if at all, for him, but it still felt a bit uninspired. So I toyed with the idea of him more as a Black Caiman, an Amazonian warrior from the gator tribes down there, after looking at Caiman references and Amazon headdresses.
More work to do, but I think I like the start of it more than where he was at. I've attached a file of his second most recent design for comparison if you're unfamiliar with him. Which I wouldn't blame you, since he's not drawn all that often, but if things work out in the future, he may appear in Predators 3. Too far off to really say anything for sure, but that's the idea!

2017-11-03 23:51:35 +0000 UTCHm. Amazon, you say? Did you know that there are some recently-discovered River Dolphins which live in the Amazon, which are almost-totally blind? I can't recall which TV show I learned that on, but it was fairly recent. I also remember that there was a MASSIVE storm which flooded the area the crew was filming in, and that in the end of it they only saw like 5 or 7 of these dolphins...

2017-11-03 15:03:50 +0000 UTCI was hoping that your first male lead predator character in the Predator series would be a jaguar. Hm....Well jaguars do prey on caimans. So maybe a male jaguar is the predator and Gaz is the prey. :) I think that works since in the wild jaguars usually (9 out of 10 times) win over caimans. Please do that!
