Written Blogs Or Video Essays?
Added 2025-01-06 22:01:48 +0000 UTCHello again, everyone! Here's a little bonus poll as this (mostly) has nothing to do with By Your Hands. If you've been following my substack, you'd know that I like to write blogs about certain topics I'm interested in. It's been a while since I released a blog, but recently I've been getting a ton of ideas for blogs. For example, I've been meaning to write up a response to Anthony Gramuglia's video on "bad" queer representation because there was a lot I didn't like about the video. I've also have been interested in making video essays after watching a bunch of them myself. I've been hesitant to make video essays though for a few reasons:
I would have to learn an entirely new skillset just to make video essays when I already know how to write blogs.
Even if I learned how to make video essays, it would still take more time to make compared to making a blog.
That being said, I think more peoople enjoy watching video essays than reading a bunch of text. Yes, I do realize the irony of me saying this as a visual novel dev, but that's what I really think. The results aren't necessarily going to decide what I'm going to do, but they will help me see what people think I should do. Please let me know!
