ARA body pillow
Added 2017-05-05 02:06:37 +0000 UTCAfter a lot of asking, polling, pondering, I think it's been clear a lot of people were interested in a dakimakura of ARA. Even if not interested in the physical thing, but the art too.
Using her personality and background, I fiddled through a lot of poses til I found something that I liked. Lots of dakis have the subject in a flirty or revealing pose, which makes sense. But that doesn't suit ARA, at least when she's not nude, lying in bed. She can be flirty to a degree, but having her 'come hither'-like just didn't seem fitting. Shy, embarrassed, cute, is more her style I think. I'll ink and colour this soon, I want to get some printed for BLFC and AC, but I'll also put up a form when it's done for anyone interested in ordering the physical thing, and upload the HD files (not print-res) here to 5$+ patrons as usual!

I should update it; I reworked the sketch actually. I didn't like it in areas, but now I do, so, sometime in July I hope to finish it!

I like how it's mostly nonrevealing, like she was just relaxing in a private room or whatever and someone walked in on her. I'm not sure about the tail charger in the front side, though, mostly because elements on a daki that go "off-screen" tend to look a little odd when the whole point is the body pillow representing the character actually laying on the bed. But that's just my take on it. Overall, I like the design. The first time I heard you mention it as an idea, I was worried you might opt to relax some of your character rules to make it more like a stereotypical sexualized daki. God knows plenty of people would shell out for that. But I'm glad those were baseless doubts and you went with something much more subdued. The artwork still allows us to appreciate her figure (especially them hips and butt) without it being more than a softcore pinup, essentially. I can't wait to see the artwork finished. c:
