Will "The Bad Guys 2" impact the story of "The Bad Girl"?

Like some of you, I’ve already watched the trailer for The Bad Guys 2. Since the story of The Bad Girl is also a sequel to the original movie, the question arises whether the official sequel will affect our story, especially as I strive to remain as respectful, faithful, and accurate to the source material as possible.
Well, based on what was shown in the trailer, I can already say that if I were to take the events of this new movie into account, the setting of The Bad Girl wouldn’t work. To give you an idea why, The Bad Guys 2 takes place five years after the events of the first movie, while The Bad Girl is set three years after. Therefore, anything I do in our story would need to maintain the original status quo.
I’ve also noticed elements in the trailer that contradict our story. I could be wrong, of course, as I don’t have the full context yet, but the chances of contradictions are extremely high.
The Bad Girl was written last year. Experience has taught me that changing course midway is a surefire way to create plot holes and inconsistencies. Plus, I’m not interested in maintaining the original status quo by the end of our story either. There’s character growth happening, especially for Diane, and pretending the story never happened just to align with The Bad Guys 2 would ruin everything we’ve built so far.
Therefore, I’ve chosen not to consider the official sequel for The Bad Girl.

To be fair, I really ship Wolf and Diane, even tho they are friends in the movie and probably will still keep it this way in the movie. I would still like to believe as a fannon side to be more prevalent. I would still like to believe that they are a couple, even tho I knowledge the bad girl is not part of the cannon story or I believe it wouldn't be the set of the cannon story. I still like how Diane and Wolf are so close together. From most NSFW story tellers and artists, yours def deserve a great recognition for doing them but in a wholesome way! You should keep making more of these wholesome stories and keep doing it, it makes me happy. If unfortunately I don't see the rest of the story anymore, is because money said goodbye, but hey... I at least read beautiful months of work that actually was worth my 1 month of money :,)
