Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Chapter 427

Volume 3 - Chapter 121: Ten Years, Sword Ancestor Holy Land - Part 3

As time passed, the Void Holy Land continued to face provocations from the two saints, but another of his avatars had already formed a good relationship with the Yang Saint, inviting him to assist. For now, the situation had stabilized.

Three more years passed in a blur.

The Void Saint's avatar sat quietly, gazing at the unchanged void. The desperate expression of that young man’s final moments surfaced in his mind. He was now convinced that the other was truly dead.

The last drop of divine blood had been obliterated.

Even if he wasn't dead, the youth must have long escaped from the void. Continuing to guard this place was pointless.

After such a prolonged period, the corrosive force of the void would have reduced even him to dust!

However, his cautious nature made him decide to stay for another three years.

Time flowed quickly, and a full decade had passed since the Immortal Sect opened its gates to the mortal world.

The Void Saint's avatar slowly rose to his feet. Glancing at the space before him where chaotic void forces flowed like a river, he noted that no divine blood had reappeared during all this time. There was no doubt that his opponent had been utterly destroyed.

He didn’t linger further, letting his avatar dissipate. His thoughts returned to the Void Holy Land, where he continued to handle the troubles arising from his actions against the mortal youth.

...

After the Void Saint's avatar dispersed, the void remained as tranquil as before.

Quietly, several more months passed.

Suddenly, a faint golden light emerged—a thread-like strand of gold, almost imperceptible and inconspicuous.

It was shrouded in concealment attributes, including Jiangxue Diagram, Hidden Bow, and other techniques, completely masking its presence.

Additionally, it used a fishing concealment technique, disguising itself as part of the void thread.

These layers of concealment techniques, combined, successfully evaded even a saint’s senses.

At this moment, the golden thread, weak and fragile, made no attempt to examine its surroundings. Instead, it charged directly into the depths of the void.

This time, there was no Void Saint's avatar to intercept it. The golden thread traversed using the Void Teleportation technique, moving continuously until it became clear the avatar was no longer present.

Li Hao finally realized his opponent had left.

Drifting through the void, his golden thread was weak and withered.

This divine blood thread had endured only by layering itself with other divine blood as if wearing outer garments, which absorbed the void’s corrosion. However, this defense had suffered significant damage, and the invasive void forces had nearly erased all his remaining Dao force.

After what felt like an eternity, as the golden thread approached the brink of obliteration, Li Hao finally glimpsed a fissure leading to the outside world.

Without hesitation, he drifted toward it and squeezed through, finally escaping the void and emerging into the outside world.

In an instant, dense energy from the heavens and earth surged into him.

At this moment, Li Hao truly stepped into the World of Saints within the Immortal Sect.

The moment he entered, Li Hao sensed that the energy here was richer and more intense than in the mortal world. Even without actively absorbing it, the energy seemed to pour into his body on its own.

Looking around, Li Hao didn’t see the Void Saint’s avatar and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Within the void, he had left two more golden threads hidden, making three in total.

This thread remained his scout, but it seemed his opponent had indeed departed.

When his body had shattered and his divine blood scattered, he had employed every possible method of deception, including the cries of despair and furious curses as the divine blood was refined. All of it was to convince his enemy he had truly died.

Even the earlier drop of divine blood being corroded by the void had been intentional, creating a miscalculation on his enemy’s part. Now, it seemed his gamble had paid off.

In this battle of wits, he had won!

As the energy of heaven and earth nourished him, Li Hao’s body gradually recovered, condensing from the golden thread into a physical form.

However, his prolonged time in the void had left him deeply eroded by its forces, slowing his regeneration significantly. His Dao force was thin and scattered, and during the earlier battle, his Earth and Heaven Meridian had been shattered, leaving him gravely injured.

...

Once his body had formed, Li Hao’s consciousness was so fatigued that he immediately fell into a deep sleep.

His body plummeted from the sky like a meteor, crashing into a mountaintop with a loud thud, sending tremors across the ground.

In his haze, Li Hao caught a faint, delicate fragrance and felt soft, slender hands lift his arm.

His awareness faded completely as he sank into darkness.

He wandered alone in that void of darkness until a gentle voice reached him, calling out repeatedly.

After a long while, Li Hao slowly opened his eyes, hearing the soft voice of an elderly man.

“You’re awake?”

Li Hao blinked in confusion, his heart suddenly tensing. He quickly opened his eyes fully, taking in the kind face of an old man with white hair.

At the same time, a strong herbal aroma mixed with a musty scent drifted over.

Li Hao’s mind cleared further as he looked around. He was lying on a straw mat inside a simple room with aged wooden beams. It appeared to be part of a courtyard, with an open yard visible outside.

Hanging from the eaves were numerous dried herbs. Nearby, a large copper cauldron steamed, exuding the pungent smell of medicinal concoctions.

Li Hao glanced at the white-haired elder and asked, “Where is this place?”

“This is the Sword Ancestor Holy Land,” the old man replied with a smile. “You were badly hurt. Was it a fight, or were you pursued by enemies? Fortunately, I found you. I tried various remedies, but nothing worked until I applied an external salve that barely stabilized your injuries.”

Li Hao was startled. Looking down, he saw himself clad in a simple blue-and-white robe, with faint scars visible on his chest beneath the collar.

His Concealing Attribute ensured that once he left combat and his body relaxed, his wounds would begin to heal slowly.

After reaching the Three Immortals Realm, this attribute had diminished in usefulness, but now, with his body severely damaged, it seemed to play a vital role once again.

“Thank you for saving my life, Senior,” Li Hao said, sitting up and bowing respectfully.

The white-haired elder chuckled. “No need to thank me. It was her who saved you. If you wish to express gratitude, thank her.”

He gestured toward the courtyard.

There, a young woman in green robes stood, practicing her sword techniques. Her movements were slow and graceful, yet the sword’s momentum was flawless, drawing in the surrounding energies of heaven and earth.

Li Hao’s gaze sharpened as he immediately discerned her high cultivation level. Her every motion was infused with Dao force—she was clearly at the True Person Stage!

Moreover, her sword intent was refined and brimming with vitality.

He suddenly recalled the faint fragrance he had noticed while unconscious. Rising, he stepped barefoot into the courtyard, clasped his hands, and bowed deeply.

“Thank you for saving my life, Miss. May I know your name? I will repay this kindness in the future!”

“There’s no need. Once your injuries are healed, just leave. Don’t disturb my sword practice.”

The green-robed woman didn’t turn around, nor did she stop her practice. Her voice was as cold and clear as melting snow.

Li Hao hesitated, glancing at her back. Then he suddenly remembered that when his body had just reformed, he had likely been... unclothed.

His face flushed slightly. He coughed softly, refrained from speaking further, and retreated to the side of the courtyard.

Sitting on the wooden boards under the eaves, he wiped the mud from his feet before returning to the straw mat inside.

Looking around the room, he realized it was an alchemy chamber, with herbs scattered everywhere.

“Qing Ying is just like that. Don’t take it to heart,” the white-haired elder said with a chuckle upon seeing Li Hao’s awkward expression.

“No, no, Senior,” Li Hao replied hurriedly. “For such a life-saving grace, how could I hold any grudge?”
