Chapter 476: The Book of Concealing Time and Ages

In the real world, the Radiant Holy Kingdom was merely a colossal legendary warship, much smaller than the Yishemierlen Palace, which resembled an entire palace afloat. The contrast was akin to an ant versus an elephant. However, when Charlot was transported to that mysterious space alongside several divine entities, he witnessed the Radiant Holy Kingdom colliding with the Yishemierlen Palace. The two were evenly matched, their clash revealing that the power disparity between them was not as exaggerated as their sizes suggested.

Juno smiled faintly and said, "Very well."

The Radiant Holy Kingdom abruptly accelerated, charging directly at any ghost ship that crossed its path.

At this moment, the ship's immense size became truly apparent.

Few ghost ships could withstand the collision with the Radiant Holy Kingdom. Those unable to evade it were obliterated, while even the occasional magical warship-class vessels were either overturned or scraped aside, emitting grating sounds before being crushed entirely.

Some magical warship-class ghost ships were forced to the ocean floor under its sheer weight. Only after the Radiant Holy Kingdom passed could these ships resurface, battered but intact.

As the Yishemierlen Palace loomed closer, Charlot became increasingly awed by the sheer scale of the floating palace.

He had no idea what the outcome of directly ramming into it would be, but regardless, he was willing to accept it.

Under Charlot's control, the Radiant Holy Kingdom gathered more speed, enveloped in several layers of mystical intent. At the ship's base, Eumibella’s entire body radiated a gentle brilliance.

Charlot felt a twinge of nervousness, but Juno remained composed and relaxed, ready to act at any moment and whisk Charlot away if necessary.

At first, the Yishemierlen Palace showed no reaction, but it soon began summoning ghost ships to intercept the Radiant Holy Kingdom and attempted to steer away. Yet, Charlot refused to give it the chance. After all, the palace’s movement was sluggish, while the Radiant Holy Kingdom was far swifter. Charlot watched as the ship crushed dozens of ghost ships, closing in on the Yishemierlen Palace, then accelerated further. His palms were sweaty; he had already anticipated that such an earth-shattering collision would likely destroy the Radiant Holy Kingdom, even in victory.

He had not even considered what would come after passing the Yishemierlen Palace—what awaited him in the third labyrinth?

“Perhaps the Agmirlas Labyrinth’s challenge against the Labyrinth God doesn’t necessarily require success?” he thought to himself.

"One step at a time," Charlot decided, focusing on clearing this hurdle first.

Yet, the anticipated collision never occurred. Instead, the Yishemierlen Palace turned illusory, like a fleeting mirage. The Radiant Holy Kingdom passed straight through, unable to make contact with the palace, which was a transformed remnant of a fallen evil god’s body.

Charlot was momentarily stunned. In his eyes, eight runes shrouded in dark mist appeared, as though the failed collision had dislodged something else.

These labyrinth runes seemed to attach themselves to the labyrinthine power surrounding Charlot, intertwining and allowing him to quickly manipulate the runes at will.

Among these eight newly emerged labyrinth runes, one was particularly familiar to Charlot—Mind Channel.

By mastering Mind Channel, Charlot could establish pathways between himself and the labyrinth, as well as between different labyrinths.

Like the other labyrinth runes, its power was not infinite—it required accumulation before it could be activated.

The third labyrinth rune was another familiar one—Labyrinth Guard.

It not only allowed Charlot to create Labyrinth Guards but also control them and grant them various permissions.

The fourth rune was entirely new to Charlot—it was called Mist.

This rune could conjure mist around the labyrinth, making it nearly impossible to locate. It could also produce mist within the labyrinth itself, granting abilities to alter direction, distance, and other remarkable effects.

The fifth rune was Capture.

It could incorporate ruins, cities, buildings, or even ships into the labyrinth, thereby expanding its domain.

The sixth rune was False Labyrinth.

This fascinating ability allowed the creation of a labyrinth out of thin air, without the need for ruins, cities, or other structures. Though temporary, the False Labyrinth served as a highly practical tool for auxiliary combat.

For the first time, Charlot found the powers of the labyrinth intriguing.

The seventh rune was Corrosion.

A purely offensive ability, it could cause any object to decay and crumble as if weathered by time, until it disintegrated entirely.

The eighth rune was Concealing Time.

In stark contrast to Corrosion, it allowed an object or living being within the labyrinth to retain its original state indefinitely. If someone were lost in the labyrinth under the effects of Concealing Time, they would remain ageless unless they left the labyrinth or the effect was removed. Should the effect be lifted, the flow of time would resume, forcing them to endure all the years they should have experienced.

The ninth rune was The Book of Ages.

Charlot’s diary, which had transformed into the incomplete Agmirlas Labyrinth, was a fragment of the Book of Ages. The true Book of Ages could compress an entire labyrinth world into a book. It could absorb living beings into its pages, where they would embark on adventures. If the story in the book ended, the beings inside would start anew, trapped in a cyclical narrative. Should the story be long, they would endlessly explore its depths. Even if the book’s tale was incomplete, they would continue to develop it themselves...

With the first rune Labyrinth that Charlot had obtained, he now possessed all nine labyrinth runes.

Charlot closed his eyes briefly. When he reopened them, he asked, "Teacher Juno, why did the Yishemierlen Palace disappear? And what are these new labyrinth powers I just acquired?"

Juno, who had also been surprised by the disappearance of the Yishemierlen Palace, sighed at Charlot’s question and said with a bitter smile, "If it were just the disappearance of the palace, I might not have an answer. But since you also acquired new labyrinth powers, I think I understand.”

“Do you remember I once told you about the patterns in the responses of the blood ancestors?”

Charlot nodded. “I remember you mentioned that.”

Juno continued, “Exactly. Evil gods operate under certain mysterious patterns, which are often exploited when dealing with them.”

“You must have triggered one of Agmirlas’s patterns just now. It didn’t want the Yishemierlen Palace and the Radiant Holy Kingdom to collide and cause mutual destruction. So, it chose to remove the palace instead. In doing so, it broke its own pattern and had to relinquish the labyrinth powers you’ve just received...”
