Chapter 460: Amon! Drive This Woman Challenging the Goddess of Fertility's Authority Away

"The venom of the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi, the tears of the Whale King! Whoever gathers all these items, I shall serve as your vessel, ready to carry you anywhere to explore all the treasures of the Seven Seas."

"Darpoquilodo! Darpoquilodo! Darpoquilodo… how could it be you?"

"Get out!"

"Get out now!"

"Amon! Amon! Amon! Drive this woman who is contesting the authority of the Goddess of Fertility out of here!"

Countless thoughts echoed in Charlot Mecklenburg’s mind. Suddenly, he felt as though he had done something monumental. However, it seemed... this Gomodoro tree was no benevolent entity either!

"It’s just a tree, and it actually has a name? Darpoquilodo!?"

"This name doesn’t sound like something from the Old Continent."

Charlot watched the blue giants celebrating joyously as they moved into the Radiant Holy Kingdom, feeling somewhat reckless about his earlier actions.

"Forget it, who cares?"

"At least the branch of the Gomodoro tree has been dealt with. Where should I search for the other two items?"

"In theory, these two items shouldn’t be on land."

"Does that mean I need to explore nearby seas?"

"Or perhaps there’s a hidden place filled with treasures?"

"I should consult Chief Angela and her daughter Singelina. They might have some insights."

Raising his left hand, Charlot transformed the Radiant Holy Kingdom into a golden ring and addressed his three companions. "Let’s continue exploring this island. We might find something else of value."

Gareth had no objections, nor did Argon. While Andreas murmured a few complaints, his opinion was inconsequential.

The area inhabited by the Blue Sky Tribe was already near the center of Solomon Island. With the Gomodoro tree’s protection, they had barely managed to survive. Now that the tree was gone, a strange and eerie aura began to spread across the surroundings.

Although Charlot was unafraid, he wasn’t inclined to linger here. Engaging with these strange creatures would bring no benefits. Without delay, they resumed their journey. Shortly after their departure, the ground where the Gomodoro tree once stood erupted with countless wriggling demons. Dense and seemingly endless, they resembled uprooted potatoes. The creatures appeared incredibly frightened, desperately trying to cry out, but lacking mouths and noses, they made no sound.

Georgia Hadrian quickly noticed this disturbance!

The Gomodoro tree had concealed many things, including his perception. With its disappearance, the Saint-ranked warrior immediately sensed something amiss.

Flying to the tree’s former location, Georgia Hadrian saw the endless stream of wriggling demons emerging from underground. Despite his immense strength and being one of the most powerful figures in existence, he felt his scalp tingle.

Murmuring to himself, Georgia Hadrian said, "Now I understand why Charlot Mecklenburg came to this island!"

"He’s definitely suspicious—not an ordinary human."

To the last warlord of the Black Phoenix Dynasty, Charlot commanding such a formidable fleet could never be for trivial reasons.

Charlot’s deviation from the planned route and his disinterest in pursuing the Black Phoenix Dynasty’s fleet suggested he wasn’t after their ships.

It could only be for this island!

This island was shrouded in strangeness, and Charlot’s secretive arrival made it clear the two were deeply connected—a flawless logical loop!

Georgia Hadrian gathered his energy and delivered a fierce slash downward. An invisible force sliced through the densest area of the wriggling demons, killing dozens in a single strike.

With a flurry of consecutive slashes, he eradicated all the wriggling demons in moments.

Charlot, who was scouting ahead, suddenly sensed the energy fluctuations. Turning back, he saw Georgia Hadrian wreaking havoc and exclaimed under his breath, "Why is he here too?"

"Quick, hide!"

Charlot’s Red Viper had six attributes: enhanced speed (Swiftstep x6), Life Devour, Bullet Animation, Anti-Space, Invisibility, and Venom.

However, he rarely used attributes other than the Swiftstep enhancements.

He even seldom wielded both Red Vipers simultaneously.

Argon hesitated and said quietly, "I can’t go invisible!"

Andreas placed his hands on their shoulders, casting a spell to conceal their shadows.

Invisibility wasn’t an advanced spell and was easy to learn. However, for those with extraordinary abilities, it was rather weak since their senses could detect movement in countless ways. Invisibility could only block ordinary human vision.

But given their distance from Georgia Hadrian, invisibility could still provide some cover.

Charlot whispered, "What’s gotten into Georgia Hadrian?"

"Why is he attacking the site of the Gomodoro tree?"

Argon replied, "We’ll figure it out after he leaves."

Charlot nodded in agreement.

After a while, Georgia Hadrian flew past them, heading toward the opposite end of Solomon Island. The group doubled back and was taken aback by the sight of countless slain wriggling demons.

Andreas said, "These wriggling demons… they seem to have emerged from underground."

Argon observed, "They resemble plant tubers."

Charlot Mecklenburg broke into a cold sweat. He had initially assumed the blue giants were capable of sexual reproduction, but upon witnessing the strange Mirror Spirits emerging from the roots of the Ancient Gomorrah Tree, he could only deduce one plausible theory.

Both the Mirror Spirits and the blue giants, in truth, were products of the Ancient Gomorrah Tree, birthed from its subterranean root system. As for why these beings had diverged into two distinct species—only the whims of an Evil God could explain such mysteries.

Charlot thought about the Radiant Magic Array at the prow of the Radiant Holy Kingdom. Every time he approached it, the Whispers of Fate would sound a warning. Yet, the Ancient Gomorrah Tree had embedded its roots into that very magic array. The thought made him shiver involuntarily.

He tried to console himself: “It’s fine! The Radiant Holy Kingdom is already pretty cursed anyway.”

Charlot was about to suggest returning to the fleet. After all, Juno Arthur was onboard, and with his mentor’s presence, there was no longer any need to fear Georgia Hadrian.

To Charlot, the eerie nature of Solomon Island was less threatening than the man who posed his greatest danger—Georgia Hadrian.

Suddenly, Andreas spoke up. “It looks like there’s something down below.”

Charlot peered down. Beneath the roots of the Ancient Gomorrah Tree, it was pitch-black, an abyss of infinite depth.

He quickly stopped Gareth, who was about to jump down. Despite Gareth’s formidable strength and lack of fear, there was no need to take unnecessary risks.

Charlot activated his Mirror of Power, summoning twelve Shadows of the Mirror from its surface.

This was an ability awakened when the Infinite Mirror World reached Level 5. The ability allowed him to reflect and replicate any enemy—or even himself—into illusory duplicates that briefly possessed strength comparable to the original. However, their power was capped at Charlot’s own limit.

When the Infinite Mirror World reached Level 6, Charlot unlocked the Demon of the Mirror ability, but he had yet to find a suitable target to test it on.

The twelve Shadows of the Mirror were recreations of opponents Charlot had encountered during the battles at Black Phoenix City. While their original forms were all Saint rank, these duplicates were restricted to an Eighteenth-tier power level due to Charlot’s own capabilities. These shadows could only maintain their form for a few minutes.

If he had summoned just one or two shadows, their duration would have been significantly longer. However, Charlot needed them for immediate exploration. A few minutes would suffice for efficiency’s sake.

Charlot handed each shadow a mirror.

He had once ordered a large batch of mirrors and linked them to the Mirror World, strategically placing them wherever he went to expand its reach.

Both Argon, Gareth, and Andreas knew Charlot was skilled in Blood Glory, but they had never imagined his abilities could become so bizarre. Watching the twelve shadows—perfect replicas of their original forms—descend into the cavernous depths gave them an indescribably strange feeling.

Andreas muttered under his breath, “You’re more like a vampire than those Byron bloodsuckers.”

“Even during the war, I never met anyone from the Van Gogh Clan, yet here you are, wielding the Infinite Mirror World like it’s second nature.”

Charlot smiled faintly. “What can I say? I had a good teacher.”

“All thanks to Juno Arthur’s instruction,” he added.

Though Juno Arthur had only taught him the basics of Blood Clan Verbal Spellcasting, Charlot didn’t mind attributing his other talents to his mentor.

...

Meanwhile, aboard the Dolmabahçe, Juno Arthur was leisurely reading a novel. Turning to his Blood Thralls, he remarked, “Charlot has decent talent when it comes to cultivation, though I’ve met a few equally promising young individuals in my time. However, his literary prowess—now that’s truly groundbreaking. Revolutionary, even.”

“Unfortunately, he’s far too busy to focus on writing. Several of his novels are unfinished, and his serialized works are irregular at best. It’s concerning whether he’ll ever complete them.”

A red-haired woman, Drusineia, replied nonchalantly, “Why not create a dedicated Dreamscape for him to write in? We could ensure that whenever Mr. Mecklenburg sleeps, part of his consciousness enters this realm, where he can write continuously. The manuscripts he produces in the dream could then be transcribed and handed over to his scribes.”

Juno clapped his hands in admiration. “Brilliant idea, Drusineia! As expected from you!”

Suddenly, Juno looked up at the sky.

While Georgia Hadrian could see the fleet, he was unaware that the strongest Byron warrior, Juno Arthur, was aboard the Dolmabahçe. However, Juno had already sensed his presence.

Juno smiled faintly. “My apologies, but that plan will have to wait.”

“Charlot has trouble coming his way.”

Drusineia asked in a low voice, “Should I go and assist Mr. Mecklenburg?”

“Don’t worry,” she added, “I won’t cause any trouble. I’ll simply bring them back.”

Juno smiled and replied, “Very well.”

“However, you’re no match for Georgia Hadrian. Take my Ultra-Long-Range Alchemical Repeating Rifle with you.”
