Chapter 335: The Log of the Holy Radiance Divine Nation

The murmurs that had been reverberating through his mind abruptly ceased, replaced by a piercing scream:
“Agmirlas! Agmirlas! Karnstein! Agmirlas! Karnstein…”
The voice shrieked the names of the two evil gods repeatedly, and Charlot almost thought the divine creature would summon them both. Fortunately, such a dreadful scenario did not occur. About half an hour later, the voice resumed its original tone, and a single strand of thought emerged again:
“The venomous fang of the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi, the tear of the Whale King… Gather all these, and I shall serve as your vessel, willing to carry you to any place and uncover all treasures of the Seven Seas.”
Listening closely, Charlot realized that the lingering traces of the Labyrinth God’s evil power and the Blood God’s aura had disappeared entirely, leaving only the original divine essence.
Charlot retrieved his diary and found that it had gained a new “page.” Each time he flipped through it, it sometimes became The Labyrinth of Agmirlas, at other times The Vampiric Scroll, or The Log of the Holy Radiance Divine Nation.
When Charlot opened The Log of the Holy Radiance Divine Nation, it detailed the legendary warship’s history, from its construction to its maiden voyage and its countless journeys across the Seven Seas. Every encounter and event it faced was meticulously recorded.
The first few hundred pages described the creation of the legendary warship, even the process of seeking assistance from the Serpent of Fate. This resulted in the severance of an unimaginable friendship. Later chapters recounted the old king’s voyages, how the ship became one of the Twelve Legendary Warships of the Seven Seas, its capture of the Queen Bee, and its battle against the deep-sea leviathan Akras in the Furious Sea. Although the ship managed to repel the massive sea monster, it suffered the loss of its most precious components. On its return journey, it encountered the Labyrinth God Agmirlas in the Aggras Sea. Despite barely making it back to Saint Michael Island, the legendary warship was left crippled and unable to sail again, with no one capable of reactivating it.
Charlot was genuinely surprised by the adventures this legendary warship had endured.
He couldn’t understand why the old king would choose this ship over an unimaginable friendship. Charlot surmised that the lost friendship must have been with the Serpent of Fate.
While the Holy Radiance Divine Nation was incomparably precious, even surpassing the value of the Queen Bee, it hardly seemed worth abandoning a friendship with one of the Nine True Gods.
Perhaps…
The old king had lost his wits.
Charlot’s diary now granted him insights into the state of the Holy Radiance Divine Nation. The ship was indeed severely damaged, especially the divine creature at its core. Although it appeared intact externally, it had been deeply wounded by the deep-sea leviathan Akras and could no longer sustain long voyages.
Charlot decided not to linger in the waters. Swimming back to the surface, he emerged unscathed, his diary now imbued with the powers of two evil gods and recognized by a divine creature. Mere seawater could no longer dampen him. He tucked the diary away and set foot on the legendary warship for the first time.
A wave of overwhelming power swept over him but left him unharmed. Charlot understood that if he hadn’t been forewarned by the golden serpent ring and explored the ship’s underside, he might have been expelled by the Holy Radiance Divine Nation’s defensive barrier. Even holding the golden ring, the ship’s key, might not have saved him.
Glancing at the three golden rings on his left hand, Charlot silently breathed a sigh of relief. After boarding the ship, the golden rings began to exert their power, allowing him to move freely across the vessel. It wasn’t long before Charlot found a magical array at the ship’s prow. It was obvious: the entrance to the seventh layer of the Agmirlas Labyrinth lay aboard this legendary ship.
The golden serpent ring on Charlot’s hand whispered incessantly, urging him to stay away. The closer he got to the magical array at the prow, the more frantic the whispers became. Hesitating for a moment, Charlot turned away, deciding not to explore the seventh layer of the labyrinth further.
For now, reaching this point was enough.
Charlot left the ship layer by layer, returning to Saint Michael Island. Without meeting anyone, he used the Infinite Mirror World to return once more to Strasbourg, specifically to 58 Elysée Avenue.
Charlot was confident he could fulfill most of the Holy Radiance Divine Nation’s requirements. Though some items were still missing, he could always search for them later. When it came to matters involving the divine, however, he preferred to act cautiously. He resolved to first research thoroughly and consult Herolf of the Golden Rams Fleet, lest any oversight lead to trouble.
Mrs. Nancy greeted him upon his return, mentioning that Frederica and Sophia Gallanord had both visited in his absence. Disappointed to find him away, they had agreed to return the next morning.
Charlot acknowledged her words and asked Madam Umeboshi to prepare dinner. After spending so much time busy on Saint Michael Island, he realized he hadn’t eaten much.
When dinner was served, Charlot examined the golden serpent ring, now in its newly transformed state. He had mostly figured out its functions: it could guide him with whispers, helping him make optimal choices and avoid danger.
Once Charlot left Saint Michael Island, the ring had gone silent, indicating that Strasbourg was peaceful, devoid of extraordinary opportunities or threats.
After dinner, Charlot returned to his room and resumed his usual cultivation. This time, he sensed that his progress was extraordinarily rapid.
The whispers of the Serpent of Fate were indeed far superior to confronting the two evil gods directly. Moreover, they felt relatively safe. Yet, if given the choice, Charlot would rather take the longer path, spending more time and effort on his cultivation than risk encountering another “god.”
The next morning, before Charlot even got out of bed, Mrs. Nancy rang the bell downstairs, announcing visitors.
Charlot quickly freshened up, dressed, and headed down to find Frederica and Sophia Gallanord already waiting. The two ladies had become close friends, their camaraderie evident.
Upon seeing Charlot, Frederica asked directly, “I’m planning to bring the first group of Leopardmen here. How do you intend to settle them?”
Surprised, Charlot asked, “Why the sudden urgency?”
Frederica’s expression darkened as she replied, “The Leopardman tribe has run out of food. Without immediate help, a devastating famine will occur.”
“I can’t afford to delay any longer. I hope you can arrange for them soon, whether it’s finding them a city or sending them overseas. At the very least, it might save more of their people.”
Charlot thought for a moment before responding, “Don’t bring them to Strasbourg. Send them directly to Machubi.”
