Start working with the others to build up power we’ve seen in the first book what this group can do when they work together and it’s terrifying. There’s no cap on party level and together if they get strong enough they could even take on the succubus. The lich keeps telling him that he has to do it alon but that’s not true the other humans with him can help a lot.
