Heaven’s Laws are an enigma beyond the reach of most. Only the sage cultivators make bold to study them in hope of ascending to the realm above.
Fleeing from a monstrous dire beast that shouldn’t even exist, Huifen is saved by a young man far weaker than herself. Her future as a cultivator is limitless with only the Laws holding her back and yet her savior, Long Chao, isn’t a cultivator at all, but the son of a hedge mage, a heretic. He follows no path laid out by the sects and his talent is average at best. But then he reveals how he saved her, by playing with the Laws themselves.
Chao would like nothing better than to continue tinkering with the Laws that fascinate him, but the young woman offers him a future he’d only once dared to dream of. Joining Monolith continent’s most powerful sect.
