Writing Update!

First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! I hope you get to enjoy your bacon!

As you have already noticed, I haven't been able to get another chapter out, which I was hoping to do before Christmas. I've learned a lot over the last month or two. Mostly, this time of the year is crazy and despite my efforts, things are going to happen. This coming year, I'm going to plan for November and December to be crazy and try to get all of my major projects done before we get there.

With that said, the next chapter will hopefully be out Wednesday. My son does have a doctors appointment that day, but I should at least get four hours of writing in to finish up chapter revisions.

New Year's Resolution!

I'm not really a big New Year's Resolution guy, but that doesn't mean I can't give you an idea what I have planned.

Underworld book three I hope to have finished in 1-2 weeks. Things can happen, but the plot is already laid out and we just have to get there. If I can get back to true 8 hour days then we should make it.

Codename: Freedom book 3 is coming after that. I was planning on doing two Codename: Freedom books in a row, but the next one might turn into one huge book instead. What that means is that it might turn into a 200k word book instead of two normal sized books. We shall see. Either way, that should get us to the end of the first major checkpoint in the overall plot.

After that, then it depends on money. :0 There is a zombie book that I have been considering for years, and I think I would be able to do it justice after having written two trilogies. It won't take much time, for the first plot is already laid out and it will probably only be about 70-80k words. The biggest difference though would be that I'm not sure it will be litrpg. There will still be progression, but more in line with Lucius's type of progression in Codename: Freedom without the game system measuring his progress. You will get to see how he changes as he survives. (This is just a maybe.)

There is also a vampire urban fantasy series that I have already written 50k words on multiple times over the years. I doubt I will get to it this year. Basically, even after we get through with Underworld and Codename: Freedom in a few years, I already have multiple series lined up. I just can't write fast enough.

The biggest resolution I have this year is to write faster. I expected to be able to greatly up my word count once I went full time, and in a sense I did, but it wasn't as much as I thought I'd be able to manage. This is one of the reasons I want to structure my gaming time with streaming and also my reading time. Becoming more disciplined in these areas should allow me to have a higher word count. The constant stream of inspiration is key, without it taking up too much of my time.

Goodies!

So there are a number of projects I still have in the works, like the physical copies of the books and t-shirts. I now have the tools to take care of business, but hopefully we will have this all set up in January. Once Underworld book 3 is done and with the editor, that is what I'm going to be working on solely while I'm waiting. Well, and getting Codename: Freedom book 3 started.

I'm also going to start putting together some Youtube videos. If you have any ideas for me, just let me know. I'm going to do a series on writing for anyone looking for advice and to put my own thoughts into words. It should also help me better understand my views on different topics, like plotting, characters, magic, progression, etc. Refining these things should help me improve and better understand what I do right.

I'm also considering some videos on why litrpg lovers should work out and easy ways to add it to your schedule. With our love of progression, I think a lot of people miss the direct connection between strength progression and character progression. You guys know I love both and the thrill of getting stronger can happen in game and in the real world.

That's about it for now. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday season!

Cheers!
