Yoooo, I’ve been exploring my own heritage in indigenous Caribbean and central american folklore and traditions, reading up on it and it feels refreshing to not read ancient Greek culture for once.

He kept introducing elements to every story that he never did anything with. It was always stuff like “ This character will be important. This new location, also important. This new thing I literally just introduced, important.” But he would never do anything with them and just focus on his self inserts and fetishes. I always just wanted to have fun and tell a story, but I would have to fight him for what I want. Eventually, we stopped talking and stopped being friends. Now he doesn’t do any writing unless he can get someone else to do most of the work for him and he doesn’t seem to understand why no one wants to stick with him on anything. I’m reminded this when I think about a lot of the plot points that fell to wayside with the Owl House. Stuff like the whistle the Bat Queen gave Eda. No explanation as to what a grimwalker is exactly. There may have even been a plot point about Kikimora only being in the Emperor’s Coven because of being related to the oracle coven head. So much lost potential.
