Experiments and Questions

Ok so this is something a little different, OK not the feet they're normal for around here.

But I've been thinking a lot these past few months, that I've been too strict on how I handle what gets posted on here. I've been operating by these imaginary levels of quality that fit within the tier system I set up for Patreon.

So I'm thinking for general art posts (aka this will effect the Tip Jar tier and above), I might lower the quality bar a little bit. Given this effects everyone I wanted to run this by you all, see what you think, if this is fine or what you'd rather prefer.

So what I was thinking is occasionally uploading images of this kind of quality. Where they're decently cleaned up, might have colours, might have shading, might be missing some key aspects or backgrounds. But are effectively "done" and I don't see myself coming back to them, at least not for a while.

I wanted to bring this up because I've been finding that doing a lot of the bigger pictures, with the more details, the big backgrounds, it's been taking a lot of time and I feel I've been get the art done later and later in the month and I've not been happy with that.

Tl;dr: Overall I just want to try and mix things up a little bit more. I'll still be doing the bigger rendered pictures, but I might do more smaller images, like these ones too. But I do want to be sure I am giving you all what you're after as well. I hope this makes sense but if you want more clarification just ask.



OK with that out of the way.
So these came about from me doing some colour tests for the soles. Still trying to figure out what I like more for the Sheep boy here. Figured I had some sketches lying around, I'd use them to get a look at the colours under different types of shading as well as the flat colours.
Kind of realized "hey some of these came out good actually??" So just wanted to post them up.

As for the tests, I've been leaning towards B. It's still got a natural red to it, but it's got this very rugged, thicker skinned, worn feel to it which iskindofhot.
