Did a few experiments with this one. A lot of them more about trying to test my timing and efficiency out. I want to try and hit a decent balance between time and quality, because I'd like to try and push more images out overall,
But a big part of that is trying to not get bogged down on the backgrounds all the time. Not everything needs them and they really do eat up most of the effort. But that's me talking to myself there, I do that to myself a lot for no good reason outside trying to be a perfectionist. So I'm trying to break that a little bit.
But also I got some new brushes so I was trying those out. It's for a more subtle effect for dermal ridges, but it should do the trick. It's something I've seen other artists doing and it seems like a good way to add that kind of texture.
Do let me know how you guys find it. If I should keep using it or not. I've got some better examples up on the WIP tier.
Also let me know if you're ok with more art like this where it's a bit more streamlined.
