❀ Technical Changes:
Save Mechanism:
We got the implementation of Week 1 and Day 8-14 saves into the new Chapter 5 to work by the time of the Day 15-17 Beta release.
Charinfo and calendar entries are still not being taken over. To integrate them seamlessly and simulate entries for incomplete saves or no saves at all, we need to wait for the "Month 1" supermerge. Afterwards, loading entries from saves and simulating missing elements shouldn't be a problem anymore.
On top of that, we also fixed a problem that caused Alpha version players to have problems loading their saves in later versions of the game.
❀ Smartphone:
.) New entries got added to the smartphone
We received reports saying that some of the new entries are "buggy". This was always just about the displayed picture of the new entries.
No, these are not graphical bugs. The smartphone users with "buggy" profile images are just jumping on the bandwagon of some retarded social media trends and enjoy intentionally messing up their profile pictures by using various filters.
❀ Other fixes:
For people who, for whatever reason, keep seeing "Image not found" errors, extra work got put in to make a little ingame guide available which only appears when you get the aforementioned error.
❀ Final remarks:
Ecchi Sensei Day 15-17 doesn't just contain the events of these three days, we also integrated our most recent special: "Ecchi Sensei - White Day Special" into the main game because it is a Past Time episode.
At the time of Ecchi Sensei - Day 12-14 I proclaimed that it was the biggest update in the history of Ecchi Sensei and that future updates will be smaller.
Well, you can go ahead and punish me for lying because Day 15-17 is quite a bit bigger than Day 12-14!
A whopping 2700 images with 132 thousand words and 39 animations!
Compare that to other visual novel games that receive regular updates.
Because many people have been asking me about the expected release date of the side project, I can tell you that right now I have no idea when I'm going to start. At the moment there are still polls which are being held, and after those polls are evaluated there will be more polls about the side project. As long as you're a tier 2+ patron ($5), feel free to participate in the voting and decide what shape the side project is going to take.
I currently don't want to set a time frame but I'm gonna go out on a limb a little and say that the first side project won't just be released this year, I also expect it to be completely finished this year.
I can't attest to the reliability of the last part of the previous sentence because many things are still unclear. For one thing, it hasn't been decided how much coding work is needed and who would be ready to help along with the coding.
That's it from my side again. You will receive more detailed info on Ecchi Sensei Day 15-17, the side project and its poll, and everything that isn't said here by financially supporting our cat-friendly club.
The release date of the next update: Ecchi Sensei - Day 18+19 will be announced soon.
The character popularity polls for Day 15-17 will also be online soon.
Don't miss out on the next "What happens next" blog post which will be out in mid-April.
So long,
Blue
