Her throat musta been destroyed after all that. Disappointed you guys made no reference to Leatherface being dressed up as Mrs. Doubtfire at the end. Seemed like a 1-1 to me lol

Way ahead of its time in style and tone, feels more like mid 80s rather than 1973. Compare to Equinox from 1970, which is basically the same concept as Evil Dead. The tone of that movie feels like it's from the 1950s by comparison.
