ZUG ZUG! Dude, this movie was so sick. For us big time WoW nerds this hit RIGHT. But yeah if you are unfamiliar with WoW and Warcraft in general.. then I guess this is just a buncha hulks slapping each other around. Loved it!

Haha. “Trying to see what that TUSK do.” I like all the references to WOW as you witness how faithful the visuals are. I personally like the Jake Gylenhaal Prince of Persia movie. It even has Dock Ock in it. I don't think it's dub-worthy.

2025-01-26 04:57:04 +0000 UTCI played so much of WC3 back in the day. Still one of my favorite games of all time, but was never interested in playing WoW so I have no idea about 99% of this lore lol. Favorite faction was Undead from WC3 and it was kinda sad that they're not involved in this movie at all (and the elves aren't really either). That half-orc chick was so goofy but the action in this was pretty sweet. I'm not sure if it was because of you guys talking about game lore so much, but the story of this movie was impossible to follow. No idea what was going on the whole time lol. Overall this movie feels very LARPy and all the armor and weapons of the alliance just look very plastic. You guys really missed out if you never got in on the peak Warcraft 3 battlenet days. So many amazing custom game modes, some of which spawned full blown games later on.

I think the human stuff was a little CW as Justin said. Quite rushed too. Felt undeserved to have Garona immediately be trusted and fighting alongside the top guys in the kingdom after knowing her for five minutes.

They later retconned it where she thought she was half-human but she's actually half-draenei. Also, the reason the Orcs are so "Hulky" is because Warcraft was originally going to be a Warhammer game, where the Orcs are big an hulky. Blizzard wasn't able to secure the Warhammer license, so they made their own knock-off, which eventually became equally as popular.
