2024-12-22 04:06:59 +0000 UTCThis is my favorite Christmas movie. Just so classic and nostalgic; It was very much my experience of christmas living in a snowy area in a somewhat lower income family. Amazing writing and acting throughout. My family watches this movie every year at least once, I don't know how anybody can reach adulthood without seeing this movie. Also you guys were wondering about the "Taps" line with the leg lamp burial and that line is referencing the bugle song Taps which is played in military exercises and memorial services. Also also I do NOT want to watch any sequel to this. Please don't do commentaries for them because I will feel compelled to watch them with you guys if you do.

Our family is always watching those films every year when I head home for the holidays (turned the bonus room into a HP dorm room) and now me and my dad can watch them while laughing our asses off, and I actually appreciate the craftsmanship of the films a lot more now.

Also my mom would stuff the video games I asked for under the clothes for a few years so every time i saw that clothes box they gave at the store i got bummed out until I took everything out

So the way I took the "bo ling" joke was that someone won the bowling alley and repurposed it into a Chinese restaurant. Mind you I'm incredibly high rn.

The prop man told Peter just to keep it in his cheek and don't swallow the juice, just spit it. Naturally, Peter got sick as a dog!! Also a note for Lewie: Love ya dude but no, A Christmas Story was not filmed in Los Angeles! It was shot in Cleveland, Ohio and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, you're correct about the snow being fake!
