The live music part was SPOT ON. I know a lot of places that are trying to "make it", especially when there are a lot of other restaurants nearby, think they need live music to set themselves apart. It usually ends up backfiring, unless they manage to attract a specifically music loving crowd. The best live music in a restaurant I ever had was a neighborhood Mexican place that just had a guy on an acoustic guitar. No singing, just plucking away.
