How to contact me! and Update

Hey!
So, as you likely know, I get inundated with messages from IG DMs to emails (4 accounts since I have a full time job with Onyx and consult, etc) to Patreon to Discord, etc.
Best way to contact me is through Discord. Your questions would be best asked publicly so others might learn from your queries.

It is difficult to check Patreon inboxes because, for some reason, even with all Patreon notifications turned on, I am not made aware of these messages.

To make my life a bit easier, would be awesome to relegate most all questions to Discord. If you are not in it, here is a link: https://discord.gg/uP6yq25QxD

Should be easy to get in. Just tag me in your question in the relevant thread. If new to discord, ask it in #general and people will help you get to the proper thread OR I will ;)

If you have a more private question, or might be a bit intimidated, feel free to email me at lance@lancehedrick.coffee. But please save these for when needed. It will just help me juggle the workload a lot more easily!

Thanks all for the massive support! Machines "contests" coming. Grinders will be held a bit longer as I am still awaiting a particle analyzer. Once I have gleaned the data from them, they'll be posted. For now, I'll be giving away espresso machines and some select grinders I might not see the need in analyzing.

We are trying to find the cheapest ways to ship, so bear with me! It will be like Christmas here soon. Likely 2 contests monthly once all set up with some great options (Lelit Mara X, Breville Bambino Plus, Flair Neo, Flair Pro 2, and more).

About to really ramp up!

Also, to those not in Discord, I am going to be doing some more lives. Hopefully a minimum of two monthly. I usually tag everyone when I am going live as they tend to be spontaneous, considering my workload and family life.

THANK YOU!

Really appreciate the way you explained that so simply! Thank you! When you say shortening your ratio which direction is that?

Yes! As beans age, I recommend dropping temp and grinding coarser and shortening your ratio. Way to look at it- the bad in coffee is a constant. The good in coffee is fleeting. As coffee ages, you want to lessen extraction so you don't go thru all the good and get only bad.

Hi! Thanks! Missed you in Portland, but saw your cardboard half :)! Roasted beans I have bought. It seems like there's a solve that can be sussed out that isn't too sciency. I had a natural that stopped tasting good with my original recipe, but I dropped the temp and it tasted good enough again. I figure there's some basic and general rules to tweak. Right? I've just got so many beans. I teach an experience based coffee workshop with only locally roasted beans and I don't want them all to go to waste, so I try and use them, but they go a bit sideways sometimes. -Toni
