Excalibur Concept

I'm still not quite sure what led management to want this mech in our modern lineup, but here we are despite my groaning haha. It did and still does look funky, the ugly step brother of the Black Knight. It also has pretty meh stats, somehow feeling under gunned, with paper thin armor with an XL engine, and not being fast enough to justify the two previous aspects. For sure, it's a true second liner that will need to avoid direct combat.
All that said, I still did my best to give this thing a freshened up look while still retaining the man in armor look. Maybe it can gain some more intimidating stats with some modern upgrades, otherwise it'll continue to live in fear of flanking light mechs.
Which of you are the weirdos looking forward to this thing? :D

I am excited to see this guy on the table! I feel it will be totally dope looking. The pose has got to be good though.

The fluff isn't deterministic, but I wonder what this would look like if you modeled the "sword" as a heat shield or piece of armor. (Not that I couldn't do that afterwards easily enough.) Really looking forward to this and the Thunderbolt IIC.
