Almost at the $800 mark!!!

Wow guys we're almost there! I knew I could eventually work my way up to levels like this, but not this quickly haha. Lets keep going!
I'd like to thank everyone who has decided to stick around and tough it out through the covid pandemic entering full swing, but I also totally understand those who have needed to withdraw their support. Times are tough for many, and I'm one of the lucky few who's life was already built around working from home with sustainable income sources. A big source of support being you guys of course.

So have some mechs to celebrate. The IS Fire Support Lance. Missile tubes incarnate.

Zeus design by myself and sculpt by Alan Blackwell. Trust me other angles are more flattering haha.
Trebuchet (including the vader bucket you voted for) designed and sculpted by Alan. I also cleaned up the cockpit glass geometry some were concerned about.
Longbow and Stalker designed by me and sculpted by Chris Lowrey. Great first entries for Chris and I'm looking forward to more from him.

Individual render set coming soon. This group shot I'm making public though, so feel free to share it. Maybe shill for me a bit, tell people where to find a big Crab and turntables :P

Almost at the $800 mark!!!

Can't believe that I missed this update! Good to hear about the funding man! Can't wait for more mechs including the Enforcer 3D model!

Peter Campi

Well, there always needs to be an OpFor in campaigns... or a test-bed for color schemes. Now you have an easy mech to choose!

Yeah even if I designed that one personally I'm not sure how exciting I could make it. It's a brick of missiles that are love or hate.

Anthony Scroggins

Love this entire lance! The Longbow does look funky with the sensor pod at first, but it fits! Remember the original had that funky tall head as well. I'm a heavy LRM user. Can't wait to get these guys on the field.

I've always liked using the Trebuchet, but yeah, there's only so much you can do with an LRM-15 bolted onto the end of medium mech's arm.

Mike

Treb looks 'meh', but I'm not sure if we could hope for more from such a derpy design. The other three all look amazing!

Aaron Stevens

Oh, in this case it's that we don't make more than a medium effort at weapon scaling. If we wanted all ML's the same size (easiest weapon to do) we'd just copy the laser object between files. Instead we only aim for general accuracy. A "weapon" in BT tabletop is just a general abstraction of a multitude of weapons in universe so they shouldn't be all identical. But outside of medium and small lasers, you quickly run into times when you need a weapon to be bigger, smaller, longer, shorter, different barrel counts, etc, or it'll ruin the look of the mech.

Anthony Scroggins

I always assumed that the mechs were always slightly out of scale with each other, with light mechs being scaled a bit up to show details.

I think the main thing I've never understood about these designs is why weapons - especially medium lasers - are sculpted smaller on larger mechs.

It's our little secret

It seems Patreon doesn't want to update the data for an existing patron in this moment >_>

Anthony Scroggins

Hahaha thanks Chris.

Anthony Scroggins

Let's get you over that mark. You keep getting us those sweet turntables

Christopher Eastwood

The Trebuchet's face is improved, but I would have preferred it to slope inward toward the neck instead of outward like it does. But then again, we've done how many of these already and this is the only one I have an issue with?

Kanrei13

The Trebuchet still looks a little pinheaded to me, but it's a great looking lance! I will put bunny ears on the Stalker's slippers.

Carlos Sempere

So - now that you have given us almost everything - in order to reflect true 2020 American Gratitude... "Where are the rest of the ComStar Lances? Gotta see that Sentinel and Exterminator." :-P (Srsly - very good work!)

One of my all-time favorite missileboats.... the gods damned Trebuchet :)

Jarod DePastene

That's a sensor suite. The cockpit is in the chest.

That Zeus looks so good, They all look good.

Looks awesome, except for the Longbow, is that a turret or its head? I love the Stalker it looks just as impressive as it did on the back cover of CityTech. The Zeus and Trenchbucket look great, both are just a little more bulky than Duane Loose's old drawings from TRO 3025.

Trevor R.N.

I am soooooooooooo happpy i got this pack

FIRE ZE MISSILES!

Joe Wright

I should have pledged more than one of those...

Love it man! I'm glad I got one of these packs in my pledge.

Nope stock 6S, but the only difference between their looks would be the ejection port the 6S has. Easy to cover up if you want a 6T.

Anthony Scroggins

Awesome work. Is that a 6T Zeus?
