Clan Support Star Renders

Some of this crew have been waiting on the sidelines for a while, but the last few just came across the finish line today, all ready to head off for production.
I'd call these a good second string group. Not the main popular mechs, but definitely mechs you're likely to want when filling out your forces. Several of them used to be quite ugly, but look pretty nice now.
Harri Kallio designed most of the group with my direction, while I did the Linebacker.

Night Gyr and Arctic Cheetah sculpts by Alan Blackwell.
Linebacker sculpt by Mike Doscher
Black Lanner sculpt by Sergey Kolesnik
Battle Cobra is Eliza Gibbs first sculpt on the team.

Which is your favorite or most improved?

I absolutely LOVE these!!!! That Night Gyr is STUNNING, and the rest are amazing! They look WAY better than their MWO counterparts!!!!

Joshua Bressel

I am digging the heavy inspiration from the TCG on the Black Lanner, and the Battle cobra looks damn fine. so are the grilled ports on the Night Gyr suppoused to be the emission points for the laser heat sinks? just curious.

James Bixby

these go a long way to fixing the blahness of omni mechs. let's see. a shadow cat, black lanner 1 or 2 linebackers and 1 or 2 battle cobra could be an interesting mix. once again "as my wallet gently weeps".

Jeffery Smith

Great job as usual. I don't run these much myself, but I got a good friend who's going to love that Linebacker!

The only thing that's keeping me from buying a new Battle Cobra... I already have a Trinary of them. One of my favorite OmniMechs. Great job!

These are all nice looking. I don't have a familiarity with pretty much any of these, so I can't give an opinion on improvements over original sculpts or designs. Going forward, is there any way the individual images could have the mech labeled on it? In one of the corners, or top or bottom or something? Helpful for those, like me, that aren't familiar with all the different designs. Here I actually had to click on the attachments to find out which one was which, rather than knowing when I was scrolling through the images. Thanks.

Black Lanner and Night Gyr have gone from "unfortunate"-looking mechs with a lot of potential to straight-up *excellent*. We already knew that about the Linebacker, but I'm *so happy* to see these excellent redesigns on the Lanner and Gyr. I've always liked the Arctic Cheetah, so I'm just glad it still looks cool, albeit different. Rock on, y'all!

Robert Schuster

The mechs look great, can't wait till I can get hands on 'em.

They all look very good, but the Battle Cobra, Black Lanner and Linebacker are definite standouts in the "Most Improved" category. The Battle Cobra especially looks awesome in its new styling.

Thought the Black Lanner was a Cauldron Born initially. Looks good.

Tyler Erickson

Definitely like the Lanner and Linebacker, probably my favorite rendition of the pair. The Battle Cobra looks really sharp as well, although the laser barrel shrouds would, in my opinion, look better as cylinders as opposed to oval-ey tubes. The Arctic Cheetah feels good in relation to the original art... but I was also not crazy about the original... so that one is kind of a neutral mech for me. The Night Gyr is 10,000x better than the Original TRO - and is really awesome looking... the only thing holding it back, is that the MWO version (at least the 2d art... some proportions didnt translate to 3d) is one of my favorite mech designs ever... so if I were to rate the pack as a whole, I would still say excellent because you guys are knocking it out of the park.

This. This is the Lanner we've been waiting for!

Terence Harris

All of these are incredible looking. Most improved, to me, would be the Black Lanner. I also really love the new Battle Cobra, and that's a design I never really cared for much, originally.

I picked this one to be standing because we've got almost all of our smaller lights in very dynamic poses and the Cheetah has LRMs. So it could be harassing from range, momentarily slowing down to let off a volley.

Anthony Scroggins

Damn, they're all awesome. Picking a most improved is going to be pretty damn difficult. I'd have to say it's a tie between the Night Gyr and Black Lanner.

Kanrei13

Lots of derpyness has been lost here. Only thing i noticed is, the fastest mech has the most stationary pose, not necessary bad but it caught my attention.

Swen Decker

I really like the Linebacker and the Lanner.

We can't get more than around 25 degrees of torso twist without pushing that corner issue, but at least these minis coming after GoAC average the facing between the torso and legs to minimize confusion. I admit we dropped the ball on a few of the GoAC mechs facing for no reason.

Anthony Scroggins

Very nice work there ion the redesigns. I especially like that the Lanner has... a cockpit now, really.

Alex F

To be clear, Harri did the design aspect, while Sergey did the 3D, with me dipping my hands into both too. But really not much had to be done with how nice the CCG art is. We all like to pretend that original TRO art didn't exist haha.

Anthony Scroggins

I really like the Arctic Cheetah. The Black Lanner is ace too. I'm definitely less of a fan that the Linebacker is likely to face a corner.

Mike

All these designs are big improvement over the original art work. The inner sphere fanboy in me is gushing over the Cheetah; but I have to give it to Sergey and his take on the Black Lanner. He really pushed the improvements made in the art from the card game and MWO. It's hard to believe that Mech originally looked like a cross between a Kiwi bird and a potato

Nyxus

Lotta hits in this batch. Didn't recognise the Black Lanner immediately, but it's a huge improvement, and the Linebacker's grown on me a lot! Can't pick a favourite 😁
