never was a fan of the Kit Fox, this version looks like a mini "Timber Wolf" though, I like it.

Problem there is even once we finish this 3D stage, they'd need to go through graphic design and illustration stages, which are stretched just as thinly as my modeling team.

it's not that uncommon to see mechs with odd cockpits. look at the atlas how the hell are you supposed to see out of that?

Anthony, how do you handle cockpit scale? Do you have a sense for how large a human is on these sculpts and therefore how large the cockpit view screen needs to be? It seems very small for this Mech.

I have never liked the Kit Fox because my introduction to it was in Mechwarrior 2 when I was like.... 10 years old. It was not a big powerful mech, so I hated it. I have unfairly maligned it all of these years, it really is a fine piece of equipment in the right situations. Also I did not really have a grasp on using the keyboard AND mouse, so I was primarily jousting with my mechs - guns forward running straight at the enemy. It is a terrible way to pilot and it makes anything less than a heavy mech really useless.

Yep. Was the first PC game I bought when my family could finally afford a home computer. MW4, 3, and 2 came shortly after. And that there is the starting story of why I'm mech design lead now.

Cute little fox. Looks great and not as massive as in earlier times. Reminds me of the Tiburon... ;) Only one point from my side - torso looks a bit bigger compared to the legs. Maybe a tiny bit more massive legs?

From my point of view, it was probably the best BattleTech computer game ever made. It got me into BattleTech in the first place. I made me fear the Smoke Jaguars, which became my favorite faction in the BattleTech universe. And it made me fear the Timberwolf... that intro was a masterpiece of game cinematics at the time, and still is if you ask me.

The Kit Fox has always held a special place in my heart, and you're right, it packs some serious firepower, but then lacks the speed or protection to protect itself from the hate that will be lobbed its way. :D But lovely looking sculpt, can't wait to see it :D

Something about the way I played that game resulted in me getting almost zero salvage. The mechs would always self destruct unless I got a super lucky cockpit kill. So I was a kid playing on essentially hard mode with mostly IS mechs and weapons all the way to the last mission.

Reminds me of the good old days of Mech Commander... it was the first Clan Mech you could salvage in the game.
