Martinelli is my stock rising for this game. I liked his positioning and connectivity. I thought it was much more on point. Was unlucky one of his shots didn't meet the back of the net. Also, really loved Partey. Have for quite a while honestly but I just enjoyed the hell out of his performance today. Great pod. Loved it :)

Soft factors for me are atmosphere and how the team gets on off the pitch. Small things that make a pleasant and competitive work environment. No negative cliques etc. When a team loses it's all about those soft factors, how everyone reacts. That's more important than winning being a bench mark for good culture.

Soft factors are so important. I've never got this line of thought before, either. Maybe those who are obsessed with Football Manager or FIFA adhere to that line of thinking.

I don't get how someone can be a rabid Arsenal fan and downplay soft factors. It's completely beyond my understanding. We've been the poster boys for bad culture and it used to take us 4-5 games to get back into form following a defeat. We always seemed to lose our belief in tough moments and imploded. This group shows resilience, belief in each other, fantastic unity and a team first mentality that I have waited forever to see again. it's the one thing money can't buy and it is what we must have in order to bridge the gap with the top teams.
