Love you guys but not really a fan of this episode. I was at the game and think you were far too kind and everyone apart from martinelli should have a stock falling. Lacazette did a few nice touches but his positioning on the pitch is a huge problem and he was poor overall. I hope you light it up more on the main pod haha!

I imagine Elliott as some sort of daring secret agent who has had to get HALO dropped into some low level conflict and sort out some baddies. He is currently doing this podcast whilst Solid Snaking it around loads of armed guards, waiting for his moment to get into the compound.

Feel like Sambi has improved a lot in defensive areas. I feel it’s unfortunate for Holding to be a stock falling, I think more so it should be our depth? It’s not his fault he’s not a ball playing centre half. I thought he was largely solid. It definitely impacted us though

Elliot your assesment of Sambi is spot on. I was watching Jorghinio after in the spurs game. His positioning was always between lines after the front line press. That gave him the ability to recieve ball and make the next pass. But u know what the stock falling ror that is Arteta and not Sambi. What is the coach doing? Doesn't he talk to players about positioning.

Since the Man City game, we've been knocked out of two cup competitions and drawn with the bottom placed team. Can we all agree now that the "despite the nature of the loss, the game with City was still was a net positive due to how promising the first half performance was" takes that many subscribed to in the aftermath of that result were completely wrong? That loss totally derailed our momentum and self-confidence and will have an outsized impact on our top four chances in a season we *need* to make top four.

On the AMN situation, it seems so obvious that we should have waiting that I wonder if there was something else going on. I just wonder where his head would have been after being denied another opportunity to move. We all know what happened last summer - and I'm sure he was more excited for the opportunity to go to Roma and work with Mourinho than joining Everton or whatever the summer opportunity was. Nonetheless Arteta/Edu should have been able to manage the situation to keep him for January and keep his head on straight. Weird one.

Totally agree with the Sambi stock down. Especially after watching the Arthur scouting video. Whether you like Arthur or not, there's no question that he works hard to find small pockets to receive the ball, and looks tobe dynamic and not just play the simple pass when receiving it. Sambi's passivity and unwillingness to impact the game just totally cut the hole out of the donut.

I think the big issue was our slow overpassive buildup from CB. Burnley could’ve walked around the pitch and we were still trying to pass it sideways. What gives a team problems? Faster passing and lots of movement.

Haven’t listened yet but got to say Tierney does my head in - few times there were options to maintain pressure in their half and he pops it backwards. Never wants to take a risky option. Think we need to give Nuno time. Miss his chaos especially against these teams that are massing players behind the ball.

Has the click ,unclicked ?? .I think we,r a better team when we,r a busy team . Players lose sharpness quickly .Feb could be a struggle.

Laca’s finishing highlights the desperate need for a good striker. Auba not coming back & Eddie even worse…..

We dominated this game for the most part of the 90’ a bit more clarity in the final shot and final third behavior , defensively there is nothing to discuss about given our absences..
