Also I feel like this episode didn't make me terrified at all unlike like the last one. That swinging guy in the shop was super scary.

I remember my family and I laughing at the graveyard scene. But it truly doesn’t become a trend. Of all the scenes, I think it was the best one to skimp out on as well.

2026-01-06 22:59:00 +0000 UTCthe director said in an interview that they sacrificed some of the vfx budget for ~something~ that happens later. thankfully the end of this episode is really the only time it shows, the rest of the vfx is so good. also dick halloran is from the shining which of course is another stephen king book and so is shawshank redemption. they looove making references to other stephen king books in this show lol

2026-01-06 22:37:17 +0000 UTCYeah i like this show a lot but that graveyard scene was giving Disney lol also i'm not sure whether you guys have seen/read The Shining or Doctor Sleep but those give more lore on Halloran and his abilities (i hope i'm not spoiling) . Stephen King basically created one huge universe with his books e.g. the mention of Shawshank, so if you want more information you'll find it there :)
