Tomiyasu might be joint with
Lokonga as our surprise success signing of the summer. It’s diffucult to make judgements from highlight clips but here goes; forget the technical skill forget if he can cross or not, his main skill seems to be his ability to win out on 50/50 duels. His intensity when closing down the ball and going again when losing out on tackles is premier league quality. His reading of the game during chaotic defensive situations looks quality, he seems to make quick smart decisions about if he closes down or covers space it’s so refreshing. We really miss these types of players. Him and partey feel like simeone signings and they will make our technical players more confident to play their game. For all their issues, arsenal have made some really positive signings this summer, and tomiyasu has topped it off. I reckon he’ll be starting asap, I’m absolutely buzzing about this one. With a bit of coaching of his technical game, arteta could make tomiyasu the ultimate ‘all court’ fullback to quote Clive. With amn maybe staying, who knows, we could really revolutionise the back 3 game. I’m rambling now and have probably jinxed it for another season, but for all our issues there’s so much to be excited about.
