It's sink or swim for Kroenke now. We'll need to go all out for one of the great recruiters out there, try to sell the project to a Conte-calibre manager, and be as ambitious as we possibly can within limits. Edu is too unproven to put that kind of pressure on him. I would have some hope if we bought a top class cm and a dynamic RB before the end of tge window. Otherwise, we're a Europa League club at best.

Just a thought while we are developing and asking for patience, can we ask for dropping of season ticket prices and increase it back when we start winning something or moving up the table ?

Good pod guys. Unless we ridicule such moves and take punitive measures club football is doomed. Super league is not the answer but a overhaul of the club football financials is the way to go. How can you justify the financial bust of Barca because they choose to have Messi and his obscene jomborie and spent more to bring players to surround him. Make no mistake one player doesn't make a team. A Messi needed an Emi Martinez, Lautaro, Di Maria to win his only international tournament. Barca can still survive due to their connects, do you think any other club would survive after such a financial crisis. It's lopsided and corruption , club football will pay for it. International football will still survice once you don't have transfers there.

The levels of analysis on these pods is next level - love the wider Premiership stuff too, and then how you bring it back to our own situation. I’m bought in to the approach we have with ‘future proofing’ with youth etc we’ve implemented this summer but this discussion did leave me wondering: Is 5th the new mid table? Elliot framed it well re haves and have-nots, billionaires not knowing what to spend the cash on etc - so is anywhere bar 1-4 just mid table? Again that’s not a dig at our club (there are some bright spots) but it struck me that the rich are getting more entrenched at the moment. Either way thought provoking-thank you Elliot, Clive and team
