But what people have to understand is that almost every top tier there is holding back. The Admirals cannot just go all out because they would destroy Marineford and the island itself, which is a symbol of the Marines’ pride, and they would also end up killing thousands of their own Marines fighting there. They can damage parts of it, sure, but they cannot erase the whole place. They need it standing. Whitebeard is also holding back. If he went all out, he would wipe out his own crew, and Ace is literally chained with sea prism stone. He cannot afford to go crazy without killing the people he is there to save. It is also worth keeping in mind that Marineford is a full-scale war, not a sequence of clean 1v1 fights. Fighters are constantly being interrupted, caught off guard, or separated by explosions and chaos. Because of that, even the top tiers cannot just stay locked into full-power fights for long stretches of time. For example, Vista clashing with Mihawk does not mean Mihawk was going all out. If Mihawk truly wanted to, he could probably take Vista down in one or two serious attacks. But Mihawk does not really gain anything from killing Vista. Even though he is technically on the Marines side, he is still a pirate at heart. He does not seem like someone who cares that deeply about the outcome of the war. He would rather keep himself occupied, test his skills and see how things unfold. They all show flashes of what they are capable of, but no one at Marineford is truly going all out, apart from the low to mid tiers.

I genuinely think the three Admirals together could take him down, especially when you factor in that Garp and Sengoku are also standing in reserve. Even if Whitebeard could immediately charge in and fight, doing so would be reckless. Instead he stays back, observes the situation, enables plans, while observing and reacting to the Navy's. If Aokiji falls, Kizaru is still there; if Kizaru goes down, Sengoku is still waiting. The rescue mission however, lives and dies with Whitebeard. He’s the planner, the enabler and the executioner. Timing is everything. He has to pick the right moment while avoiding the needless waste of his power and his crew’s resources. I honestly don’t see any positive outcome where he’s constantly on the front lines brawling alongside his crew. That would just be like exhausting the hamster on the wheel. Anyways, great reaction as always and I love hearing all your takes, criticisms and praises. So fun! Especially with the cosplays! Also Marco is the goat! He's my fav character in Marineford.

Also with Roger and Whitebeard getting diseases and things like that, that's sadly just getting old. Roger wasn't that old but the older you get the more you run the risk of getting some kind of disease or illness. Pirates also don't have the luxury of being able to going to full on hospitals like say the marines, and have to rely on their ship doctors for most of their medical care.

I tweeted about it with his picture and a random one piece fan on twitter told me his name and birthday, and this is when I realized Oda knows and cherishes every single character. You guys have seen him already his name is Delacuaji he is probably the strangest most confusing looking character i've seen and i wish i knew more about. My second favorite character in this arc is Doma the guy with a monkey that has a gun.... like....what is that pairing.... i need to know more. I've never seen another person that looks even remotely similar to Delacuaji though i'm so curious

So both retreated. Crocodile vs Doflamingo vs Jozu : After Crocodile used his tornado the fight was broken up. This one they have their reasons as to why. Why is it necessary to do this? Everyone knows that these characters will be shown in the future. So this was just a glimpse of their powers, like when Itatchi first arrived at the hidden leaf he didn't show his trump cards. It helps keep the surprise and excitement for these characters. Its better to keep some things mysterious or else the pay off won't be good. You will be glad you didn't see them with their full glory here as the surprises and twists won't be exactly surprises if already seen.
