Even now—having watched Artetas intervieq; clear he is unhappy with the sluggish performance; but cant have it both ways; some of these players had to look fatigued after the physical effort of the leeds game—and the fans deserve to watch a game where the team doesnt look this sluggish. I also think—similar to how disinterested willian looked when playing in the EL group stage—you cant expect saka/auba/esr/odeegard/luiz to play well against a team that is noticeably below their level. A martinelli /pepe or holding would make a world of difference (someone who has somethin to play for)

I have to agree. I think Pepe should have come in much sooner as the Ceballos/Ødegaard pairing seemed slow in the midfield. A lot of missed passes. ESR played well and I think having Pepe and Tierney on the left would have helped a lot to how more creative outlets. After ESR came out I dont remember a single shot on goal. We didnt give Pepe or Martinelli a chance honestly.

Big Arteta fan but def a stock falling on his lineup and subs; hes shown an awareness of how uniquely congested this season is, and yet plays an entire lineup that looked sluggish against a very slow and very old team. Makes his job harder; and makes our players subject to unecessary criticism. No excuse for that—game was not just there for the taking, we literally had it in our hands and did everything we could to keep it close and stagnant. Felt the same against villa when Arteta played the wolves lineup. Even just 1 change to that lineup would have made a difference.
