They cover a wide range of topics and Ted sheds some light on his squad building philosophy. Included in the conversation is a discussion of the latest news regarding the dismissal of scouts, how scouting is changing and how analytics impact that change. They cover the importance of agents and the question of whether the agent relationships at Arsenal are a concern for the future. There's also a discussion of how to use the academy and get the most out of those players in terms of performance and value in the market, plus the question of whether older players should ever be a part of the squad building philosophy, including Aubameyang. They also cover whether the coach should drive recruitment and Ted's thoughts on Arteta generally.
After the break, Clive joins to give his overall view of squad building and cover which players he considers indispensable and which ones can go. He also answers what areas of the pitch we should prioritize. Then Clive answers some listener questions regarding the squad and squad building generally.
