🛠️ Behind-the-Scenes: Crafting a World from Scratch

Aldora has been taking shape for a long time.

From the moment Kazuro opened the doors to Collector’s Curiosities, the world around him has been slowly unfolding...region by region, race by race, one relic at a time. But this month’s Lore Drop was the first time I really pulled back the curtain and gave you a look at the world as a whole.

It wasn’t about building Aldora from scratch, it was about finally organizing months of ideas, maps, magic systems, and notes into something cohesive and shareable. And to do that, I leaned on the creative process I’ve grown more comfortable talking about.

🤖 Yes, I use AI to help me write—and I always want to be transparent about that.

When I first started The Strategy Guide Chronicles, it was just a fun sub-series on my main YouTube channel, a space where I edited photos 🎞️, played games 🎮, and talked with my livestream community 💬. The idea started simple: I was hunting for old strategy guides at secondhand bookstores and thought it would be fun to share that love with others.

Then the idea grew.

I wanted to create a new presentation of myself, someone who didn’t just collect guides, but lived in a world where those guides actually mattered. That’s when Kazuro was born. A shopkeeper in a broken fantasy world called Aldora. A collector of relics, a student of lost knowledge, a reflection of my own curiosity.

As I began writing, the vision was there, but keeping up with it was hard. I’m a full-time photographer 📷. A content creator. A husband. A dad. I didn’t want the weight of the writing to become a barrier to the passion behind it. So, I enlisted the help of ChatGPT.

And instantly, it felt like I had a capable creative assistant, not one making decisions for me, but one helping me keep up with everything I already saw in my head 🧠.

Let me be clear: I create the world of Aldora. The characters, the storylines, the maps, the magic systems, all of that comes from me. I also hired human musicians and human artists to create the original music, the logo, the artwork, and Kazuro’s VTube character model. ChatGPT simply helps me write, to take all the ideas in my head and organize them clearly, like a really smart assistant who never sleeps. It doesn’t make the world. It just helps me bring it to life on the page.

I’ve worked with AI in my other jobs for years now, and I can spot rushed content from a mile away. Everything you read here goes through days of revisions, iterations, and honest creative thinking 🔍. If I were working in a publishing house, this would be my editorial team. Just… faster. Cheaper. And available at 11:47 p.m. when inspiration strikes.

Honestly, I think if people like Tolkien or C.S. Lewis access to tools like this, they’d have used them too. Because worldbuilding is hard and whatever helps bring the vision to life without compromising the heart is worth embracing.

🌍 Now, let’s talk about Aldora.

This month’s drop, The World of Aldora, introduced the five main known regions of the world, the eight races who inhabit it, the nature of magic and relics, and the current fractured state of things after the fall of the great kingdoms.

It started as scribbled region names and ideas for towns… and ended in a hand-drawn, full-color map (released soon) 🧭 and thousands of words of worldbuilding. Mapping the regions, naming cities, thinking through magic systems and ancient wars, I can spend days just sitting with these thoughts. How would the Meridar interact with the Sylphids? What’s the political climate in a world where guilds replaced rulers? How do people survive in the ruins of once-great capitals?

There’s so much to think through, and I love that part of it.

But more importantly, I want you to know this:

Everything I create for The Strategy Guide Chronicles, every piece of lore, every artifact, every character, is built with care, love ❤️, and a deep passion for storytelling 📖. I’m not rushing this. I’m not generating random fantasy content. I’m crafting a world that means something to me, and hopefully, something to you too.

Thanks for being here and supporting this weird, wonderful project. Your presence makes the long nights worth it.
