Ep.25: The Sad Story of the Volcano Manor | Roundtable Hold

UPDATE

A couple of people have pointed out that the end of this episode of Roundtable Hold contains a small spoiler for the next episode of RETRY.

Basically, we just cover the next step of a character's quest line – if that's something that would bother you, we just wanted to give you a heads-up.

That's me losing track that would fall after defeating Rykard and, therefore, the next episode of Roundtable.

Apologies, Krupa :)

---

Hello patrons, and welcome back to the Roundtable Hold.

This week we're unpacking what's really going on in the Volcano Manor, charting the tragic fall of Lord Rykard. Why was he at Mount Gelmir? Was he really once a good man?

We also go on a little detour and learn all about 'Priest Holes' and the English Reformation – honestly, it'll be fun. Hey, come back.

Enjoy the episode!

Man, love watching this video and I'm kinda sad I'm only starting to watch this so late. But I gotta say that bit with Rykard is kinda goofy boys and I'm not trying to be stickler (if your even reading this, probably not) but my English writing professor would hit me with the heaviest textbook he can find if I said that bit with the remembrance.

Something else to note about the Serpent Hunter spear's description is the line "searched for a weapon with which they might hault their lord" not kill but hault, potentially hinting further than you have not killed the serpent, like those who used it before, you have only defeated it and will most likely return again as it has done previously.

Props to Krupa! The patience of a saint with Gav and Rory still struggling with Rennala's family tree :D

Spoilers for next week's episode with the Patches bit at the end?!

Funny little tid bit from the Lithuanian pagan story tie in into what Krupa was saying is that just like Rykard studying hexes so did Egle curse her family for killing her husband and they too turned into trees. She hexed them!

Aurimas Bogaciovas

Thank you Krupa - have a good weekend!

I’m always up for a little historical digression. Because I am a nerd.
