RKG: August Update

Hello everyone,

We’re really excited for this update. Powers is back and ready to go, and we’ve spent some time figuring out what the next couple of months look like. Fair to say, 2020 hasn’t quite gone to plan, and many of the things we wanted to do and achieve this year have been thwarted, but it’s time to slowly get back on track.

Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up, including a new show, and when you can expect to see Retry: Sekiro back on the channel.

Retry: Sekiro

So what’s the plan?

Rory’s back in training. Krupa’s finalising the final run-in. And Gav’s doing us a big shop of saké and Japanese beers. We’re currently getting the studio ready for socially-distanced filming in a way that will impact the show as little as possible. But we also want to make the final run of episodes really special. We’ve had to wait so long to conclude this season – we want to go out with a bang. So we’ll be filming for a week solid, everyday non-stop, as we did on the very first season of Prepare To Try. If we get stuck, we’ll push right on through.

We’re aiming to film the week of August 17th, and then we’ll have a couple of weeks to work on the edits, meaning the next episode of Retry: Sekiro will be available to Early Access patrons on Friday, September 11th and publicly on YouTube on Saturday, September 12th.

What does this mean for August’s content?

We’ve got quite a bit still going up even though towards the end of the month we’ll be getting our heads down and working on bringing you the best conclusion to Retry: Sekiro possible.

RKG Live: Krupa & Gav Build Jurassic Park (in LEGO)

To celebrate our new series (more details below), we’ll be building the gigantic, 3120 piece Jurassic Park LEGO set LIVE!

Who knows how long it’ll take… but we won’t stop until we’ve constructed our very own Jurassic Park gates and T-Rex. We’ll also be probably talking quite a lot about the greatest film ever made and playing you some clips from our new show.

Keyword Countdown Returns… Again

The game show we quite literally can’t get on TV returns again at the end of the month, shifting to its new rightful slot on Saturday nights. Yes, we’re following in the footsteps of the greats – Bowen, Edmonds, Winton. So join us for yet another edition with a whole new set of guest contestants.

An Evening with The Last of Us Part II

Well, hopefully you’ve all had enough to finish The Last of Us: Part II by now. So join Gav and Krupa for an evening where they go through the game together. This won’t be your standard spoilercast – we’ll be making features specifically for the stream and want to get you involved too. It should be a great night, and something a little new for us.
