Fanfic Recommendation Thread [July Edition]

I was looking for some more good stories to read and was hoping for your suggestions. While I was at it, I thought I'd add my own recommendations to the mix in order to get things started.

A Communist Cyborg’s War Against Managed Democracy (Youjo Senki + Helldivers 2)

Zahariel's got some great stories- (A Young Girl's Weaponization of the Mythos (Youjo Senki + Cthulhu Mythos)- is one of the goats imo. Still, I've really been enjoying the Tanya/Helldivers crossover quite a bit.

It's funny, has some great omakes, and is generally nice and light despite its sometimes gruesome subject matter. I'd highly recommend it to any helldivers out there.

Spite (Youjo Senki/Mass Effect)

I love Mass Effect, but there are surprisingly few crossover fics out there, so I was happy to find this one out there in the wild.

When I found it, I anticipated that Tanya would take the place of Shepherd, but was both surprised and impressed when that wasn't the angle the author chose to take. I won't spoil anything, but there is some real originality and creativity on display on this one.

Abyssal Escalation (Worm + Vampire the Masquerade)

I'm kind of cheating with this list as it's mostly just Zahariel's fics, but I think this one is worthy of a spot here. Why? Well, just my own massive bias for Vampire the Masquerade. I loved the computer game from back in the day, and have enjoyed writing my own chronicle, as well as absorbing every last bit of lore.

The fic has some good fight scenes so far, and some very interesting implications that I'm eager to see fleshed out.

I've read, and am currently reading more, but I'll save those for a part 2. In the meantime, give me some recommendations of your own favorite fics out there!
