Zombies in the ruins, monsters to the rear, and fallen god beyond, waiting for its prophet. Here we go, final chapter of the arc. What can I say except good luck, Elpida? Well, I hope you enjoy this one, dear readers! I certainly did. And! There is a 50/50 chance of next week's chapter being an interlude, rather than straight on to arc 7. We'll see, I'm not 100% sure yet. Here we go ...

P.S. I'm writing this little postscript on Saturday, so several days after posting the chapter itself. I very rarely do this, but I've actually made some small edits to the chapter based on reader feedback. At least three readers mentioned that they were under the impression that Elpida was in shock during one of the pivotal moments of this chapter, that she was too shocked to move, etc. But that isn't what's happening. If it was just one reader, I'd probably chalk it up to personal interpretation, but three readers all with the same misapprehension means it's my fault. I'm afraid I may have been a little flowery with the prose there, so I've tightened up some lines and expanded others, to make it extra clear what's actually happening to Elpida during that moment, and spelled out the implications. This probably isn't of interest to many readers, but I thought I better mention it anyway, so it doesn't look like a retcon later on!
