Audiobook announcement!!!

Well, if the title of this post hasn’t given it away already, here it is, with no further ado:

Katalepsis is getting an official, professionally produced audiobook version.

Surprise!

A few weeks ago I was approached by the publisher Podium Audio, who’ve been turning a lot of web serials into audiobooks over the last few years. They’ve adapted many web serials far bigger and more famous than Katalepsis (pretty much all the most popular serials, actually). They’ve done a wonderful job with those, and they really know what they’re doing, but I still had to think very carefully about this decision. After doing the research, and asking a lot of questions, I really believe they’re going to do a fantastic job with this, and it’s the best way to get an audiobook out there.

I don’t have many details to give you yet, production is still in the very earliest stage. The audiobook volumes will cover everything of Katalepsis so far, unabridged, and very likely up to the end of ‘Book 1’ when I get there. As for a release date — and the all-important narrator who’s going to be voicing Heather for us — you’ll know when I do!

In conjunction with all this (and because I’m going to have to do a proofread/clean/format of the entire 900k-word manuscript anyway, oof ow), I’m also committing to hopefully putting out official ebook versions of Katalepsis in conjunction with the audiobook releases.

Ebook versions are all on me though, that’s not Podium. For anybody worried, I want to make it absolutely clear: I have not signed away rights to the story itself. The deal is for audiobooks only. Nothing will be edited by anybody except me.
