Side story poll!

Surprise! Now that I have finally carved a little time out of my work schedule to write some promised Katalepsis side-stories, I present you wonderful people with a very important question: what would you like to see first?

Some of these choices are here by popular demand (mostly from the discord server), some of them exist in rough form in my notes, and some of them are extrapolations from within the main story itself. Some of them might be quite short, only a few thousand words, whereas others will clock in as full 5k-8k short stories, and a couple of them might even stretch to more than that. I won’t know for certain until I begin each one! Some of them will be from Heather’s perspective, some are from other characters. I also don’t know how long each one will take to write; I’m not pausing weekly chapters to write these or anything, the main story still takes priority.

I am going to make this poll non-binding, just in case. If I get halfway into writing one of these and it turns out to be narratively impossible, I will do everything in my power to make it work, but if it’s completely unsalveagable I will move onto the next most popular choice. Hopefully that won’t happen, but these are planned with far less meticulous detail than Katalepsis itself.

This is also not an exhaustive list! There could be more in the future, if Patrons want more.

(Also I've never done a poll on Patreon before, hopefully this works right. The actual poll buttons themselves should follow the descriptions below. Unfortunately Patreon does not allow 1st/2nd/3rd choice polling, so if you have a second or third choice or anything, feel free to leave a comment too!)

1 - Praem’s Day Off [Title is self-explanatory! Praem takes a day off, goes a-wandering, light hearted comic relief and fluff.]

2 - Anime Night [The gang sits down to watch and comment on a bunch of anime shows. Likely structured as a series of MST3K style short scenes. I would try to write this so you don’t need to know the shows they’re commenting on, but I could also open this up to let Patrons vote on what they watch, within reason.]

3 - Meat [Zheng’s POV, prior to being freed by Heather, somewhere around the events of arcs 1-4, as she fantasises about devouring her ‘masters’. Very dark, very gory, very serious.]

4 - Kimberly Kemp's Pagan Revivalist Time Loop [What was Kimberly really doing between the events of chapters 6.9-7.4, while everyone else was in big trouble? A (possibly?!) non-canonical horror story from Kim’s POV.]

5 - Lozzagna [Lozzie has a craving that can only be satisfied by more crappy hospital canteen pasta. She takes an unsanctioned trip (but not alone), and discovers there might be more things she can do in the hospital. Comedy but also a little serious.]

6 - Drug Bust [Nicole finally goes to talk to Kimberly while Kimberly is at work. Awkward lesbian romance time.]

7 - A Night On the Town [Raine takes Heather out to an actual lesbian club and/or bar, where they check out other women together. Probably quite horny and very heavy on the lesbian sexuality talk.]

8 - Maintenance [Evelyn is having a bad day with her various physical maladies. Praem offers help. Evelyn POV, quietly serious, big focus on disabilities and Praem + Evelyn bonding.]
