The quality of the animation and the pacing are a bit rough in the beginning, but trust me that it only gets better and the fights a bit quicker etc. They have to explain everything in the beginning, so the viewer gets it :D Other than that, you have no idea how PUMPED I am for your reaction to this anime. So many epic scenes yet to come

Though, I remember reading that Oda never puts too much focus on having epic fights, because he sees no hope of ever outshining Dragonball in that field. Still, Naruto has more epic fights than One Piece and also a much better thought out power system.
