I think that scene is one that people should actually read in the light novel. This show does an amazing job with how much it manages to pack into the adaptation, but there's still a lot that get's cut out to fit for time, pacing, etc. In the light novel you get a lot more of his hesitation, what he sees and interprets as green flags based on what he knows about Eris, and much more of his regret after the fact. While I think the light novel is worth a read regardless, that scene is one of only two or three I can think of that I think people watching the anime should read.

Unfortunate

the reason they're uncomfortable is because Rudy is a 40 yr old in a 10 yr old's body

I think it's perfectly normal to feel weirded out and uncomfortable. That was the writer's intention, he wants people to feel uncomfortable and the characters and situations to feel morally ambiguous. The important thing is to engage with the story and characters instead of just turn your brain off and drop the show. Which clearly you guys are doing so I think I speak for everyone when i say we are loving the reaction and especially the discussion afterward. If it makes you feel more at ease, this is pretty much the worst the PDF file stuff gets for the rest of the series. Not to say there aren't any more awkward uncomfortable and gross situations (because that is a constant theme throughout the series) but it gets less kid-related as Rudy gets older. The one thing I will say though, is this isn't just for the sake of fanservice or comedy. All these awkward scenes are there for a reason and will come back around later, Mushoku is the king of foreshadowing, there are things that happen in this episode that seem small but are actually relevant even as far as season 2. So when you do come across some strange or uncomfortable scenes, it's best to keep an open mind as to how it relates to the characters and the plot implications.

First to answer Mrs Carly’s question. No, but my stirs currently haven’t had a need for such scenery… plus o fill I’d be bad at writing such things. But this show is realistic …for the most part and i respect that, the fact that yu guys are talking about it is saying the writer got you to do what he wanted. Just my thought on that. This whole Grayrat blood feud I forgot about, but it sounds like Paul would’ve been the head if he didn’t leave. FBI? There only two years apart. Yes they are. For the record TEST FELD! and that’s why his spine broke. But in the end… there cousins, that’s why yu should. Be agents thus . And me being team Sylphy has nothing to do with this. This euros allows multiple wives and I’m sure Lillya is now Paul second wife. Her name in the credits now say Lillya Grayrat since family matting. Zenith doesn’t know how to talk to normal toddlers, she used to genius and Rudy and talks to Norn how she used to talk to him at that age, the bond crying child. No real mind the brain here as he gets older the mind and brain will sure sync up meaning no longer needing this. Age count Rudy is 10 years old. Eirs 12 years old. Norn and Ayesha. 3 years old. Sylphy is ruddy’s age. Letcher child.

First of all i don't want to talk down the subject of Rudeus behaviour. It's disgusting. The thing is, we are so used to seeing people getting killed in stories, we just take it for granted. People die, thats how it is. But if there is a character assaulting minors, then it's the end of the world and the audience is getting mad and ferocious. But if you just think about it, death is final. Death is literally the worst thing that could happen to anyone. Killing someone is a million times more cruel than giving a child traumatic experiences, because the child can still grow up, heal, see the world, have fun in the future and even lead a happy life with friends and family. A dead person can't do that. Just saying killing is worse than assaulting. Both is F'ed up

This show is a perfect example of what is rough with anime sometimes. You can have amazing plot, art, and characters then it does shit like in this episode that you don’t want to see. I know people compare it to game of thrones because it had younger people in situations like that too but still not great to watch

TomNook

These moments aside this show is still such a good one. Rudeus being the person he was in his previous life youll probably always have some uncomfortable moments until like everybody is of age or something but also its a weird world that's basically ok with family members sleeping with each other,

Dune

Have watched Code Geass and Summertime Rendering. I think them two are very great shows but I think it's different genre compared to MT tho. I think both MT and Code Geass are known for other things, and not suspense (at least not what they focus on). Just example, MT lore or world building is definitely something that it has advantage over Code Geass and Summertime just simply because its world is vast. I watch MT for such quality while watching Code Geass and Summertime for others. I do hope they will watch both these shows one day.

Feel sorry for Code Geass, Faith Heavens feel, and summertime rendering for not even being in poll. Don't get me wrong this show is good but it is a little disturbing. In addition, the suspense in the former mentioned shows are way higher than this.

I cant wait to see the next episodes and enjoy the ride with you guys, i understand why u guys think that and react like that and thats the point of the author to feel like that watching this, making u that uncomfortable, to see later the growth as a person with babysteps as ange said, also at the age of 15 as they said in this world is kinda normal cuz his body is grown physically speaking, not mentally of course. in some comments, mostly the more liked ones, they explain really well the context about the episode and the vision of the author. Btw: Also guys its important that u guys remember the guy that was in the mountain with the dragon, and the demonly loli girl who choked on her own saliva xd.

AngelFr0m Sky

uh who said that stuff ends here? that stuff does continue past this episode and prob continues.
