I was making fun of the friend for crying at Shinichi’s story again, and realized I cry rewatching haikyu.

I just caught up rewatching the series with you guys, and I wanted to share my opinion on Kana's story. You guys were very curious about why she had that power, or what exactly it was that made her special. From my perspective (as a non-manga reader), she was an oracle/psychic/banshee. She was super sensitive and could 'kind of' see the future in her dreams. It felt like they could have explored her character more instead of just killing her off.
What I think is that they wanted to progress the main story further and emphasize Shinichi’s gradual loss of humanity and lack of grief.
Also, I love the reactions to one of my favorite shows. <3

A few interesting things when I rewatch this with you guys
The scenes where Tamiya Ryoko "pick her child up" which horrified you guys show how Human and other species think differently. If Human never see any of the Cat-family species and for the first time see how a cat mom bites her kitten's back of the neck, we would be terrified as well. The female parasyte never reproduce before or do parenting, heck, they didn't even exist few months ago. So things like taking care of a child as a mother for her is crazy new.
When she has the urge to laugh, it also shows that she doesn't know how to do it normally and ends up laughing like a crazy villain. I wouldn't be surprised if she will act so human-like after years living among humans.

For some reason that Fortune Teller scene always sticks out to me, super underrated moment. It was built up in Shinichi's mind since he lost his mother. Gave me chills
