I'd personally give mvp to mudman. He kept everyone on their toes and his last push is what took iida down otherwise he and shoji could've teamed up to get pony most likely and secured the win.

The program has produced most of Japan's top heroes. It works. On the other hand, the individual experiences of Class A have produced some exceptional fighters. There's multiple times throughout this arc where Class B students make note of the fact that Class A students like Kaminari, Tokoyami, Todoroki, Iida, Bakugo, and Midoriya are capable of taking down an entire team if left unchecked.

MY GOATS HONENUKI AND TETSUTETSU WOULD NEVER LOSE!!!!!! On a serious note, 1B were not that much of an underdog in this fight. Honenuki got in on a special recommendation just like Todoroki, so the implication is that they are atleast close in terms of raw talent and power. And Tetsutetsu is 1B's strongest brawler. So this kind of was 1B's most stacked team. We just haven't seem them in action much so it feels like they are underdogs.

He made a mistake in underestimating Iida, but still made an insane play at the end with Tetsutetsu to take him out.

Also Juzo 2nd place in mvp. Anyway the match really soldified that Class A are pure talent, Class B is prob the true underdogs; one who actually want to win but still loses π

It was clearly done intentionally to make this a draw and keep the remaining matches more relevant. The fight itself was very nice but I did not like the ending.

Loved how they showed both Shoto's and Iida's growth, plus I really love Mudman (Juzo) from 1B, he lowkey reminds me of a character from Naruto who's also similarly a laidback 'lazy' yet super smart dude. I'm also glad they didn't show Shoto use that insane power this episode but just gave us a tease instead.

2025-03-05 16:22:01 +0000 UTC1A has a lot of heavy hitters but as we saw they have been getting by with just overwhelming firepower and their plans have been fairly straight forward. 1B outside of Vine girl doesn't have anyone thats got a battering ram so they've had to put a lot more thought into how they go about each match

2025-03-05 14:53:10 +0000 UTCBeyond the competitive aspect, these fights are mainly intended to see the progress of each class and to see how each student manages to cope in real situations and the students understood this well. That's why Tenya prioritized saving Todoroki when he could have just brought the opponent to the prison and won. Also, that's why Pony at the end preferred to save time because in a real situation it would have been the right thing to do. These fights are above all an opportunity to show what each apprentice hero is capable of and their mentality. I can't wait to see the next episode with Bakugoat.
